A flashing for sealing a waterproof roofing membrane to a vertical wall such as a parapet wall around the roof, including an elongated mounting flange for connection to the wall, a top flange and wall flange which define a filler channel with the vertical wall. An elongated elastromeric filler piece is adapted to fit closely within the filler channel with an overlapped portion of the roofing membrane for a temporary adjustable hold on the roofing membrane. A set of finger like tabs preferably punched out of the wall flange may be bent into the filler channel beneath the membrane and filler piece to hold it securely therein. Alternative embodiments for use with pre-existing walls and for attachment to a brick and motar wall at the time of construction are shown, as are corner pieces for sealing inside and outside corners.

Roofing membrane flashing

A quick assembly attachment mechanism comprising an elongated stud member having two notches formed in its surface and a receiving member that non-rotatably engages the stud member and includes at least two bendable tabs that are bent into the notches to lock the stud against longitudinal motion. The receiving member includes access openings to permit the tabs to be bend back out of the notches so that the stud may be removed. The attachment mechanism is particularly suited for use in connecting steel components such as steel hinges to steel doors.

A sealing system is shown for sealing between a waterproof roofing membrane and a curb around a roof opening, including a cap flashing for the curb, a top flange connected to the cap flashing and extending outwardly therefrom and a wall flange connected to the top flange which extends downwardly and forms a filler channel defined by the top flange, the wall flange and the curb. The roofing membrane is held in the filler channel by folding it over a longitudinal resilient filler material sized to fit closely within the filler channel. A plurality of spaced-apart tabs integral with the wall flange are bent into the filler channel beneath the filler material to securely hold the membrane therein without the necessity for any loose fasteners. A preassembled sealing system perimeter frame ready for mounting on an existing curb, a sealing system with an attached hatchway cover, and a complete hatchway with perimeter frame sealing system, cover, curb and associated flashing are also disclosed.

A frame assembly for a building opening such as a roof hatch or scuttle, wherein frame elements and integral or separate connecting elements therefor are adapted for on-site assembly and leak-proof securement to a building roof or wall, both manufacture and installation being relatively uncomplicated operations and the resulting structures being adapted to meet high standards of performance.

Disclosed is a corner gap support used in conjunction with flashing applied to seal the seams created at the junction of a housing erected around a port in a surface, with said surface. As fabricated, the device is adapted both to fill corner gaps in said flashing and to act as a support for patching material used to seal said gaps.
