A slip ring assembly includes an insulator body with an rotor-facing first side and second, opposing side, and a pair of slip rings. The slip rings are formed to include respective coupling terminals that generally axially extend from the second side of the insulator body. The insulator body further includes a pair of through-bores that are parallel to but radially offset from a main axis of the insulator body, and are configured for routing the rotor winding leads from the rotor-facing side of the insulator body to the second, opposing side. The coupling terminals each comprise a pair of radially inwardly extending legs and a central, axially extending leg. The leads emerge from the through-bores, and are folded over the radially extending legs. The central, axially extending leg is then folded over the lead to mechanically secure the lead end, which is soldered to ensure electrical connectivity.

Bipolar battery and method of making intercell connections between adjacent cells thereof including a container having an intercell partition a section of which is thicker than the remainder of the partition. The thickened section has an opening therethrough receiving the intercell connectors, which opening has a mouth at each end thereof confronting one of a set of adjacent cell compartments. Barriers are provided contiguous the mouths of the opening and define therebetween a region in the opening for receiving sealant injected thereinto. The barriers confine the sealant to the region and prevent it from exuding into the adjacent cell compartments. In one embodiment, the barriers comprise rails molded onto the bipolar electrodes. In another embodiment, the barriers comprise compressed glass mats.

Bipolar battery and assembly method

The subject invention relates to photopolymerizable compositions useful for making plastic printing elements for use in photolithography and other photomechanical processes. The photopolymerizable compositions comprise an aqueous mixture of a water-insoluble resin, a water-soluble binder, a crosslinking agent, and a photopolymerization initiator having an alpha-keto ester linkage. In particular, photopolymerization initiators include oxalic acid, sodium oxalate, potassium oxalate, lithium oxalate and urea oxalate. The printing plates prepared from the compositions herein disclosed have improved ink receptivity, good retention of such ink, receptivity even after long continued use, greater durability and excellent binding qualities.
