Goggles, goggle frames, and methods for adjusting a fit of a goggle frame are disclosed. In an example goggle, the goggle includes a frame and a lens. The frame includes a lens receiving portion and a face contact portion. The face contact portion includes a nose recess including an adjustable member for changing a contour of the face contact portion. The lens is configured to be mounted to the lens receiving portion. In an example goggle frame, the goggle frame includes a lens opening for mounting a lens thereto and a nose recess portion including a fit adjustment member. The fit adjustment member is configured to be deformed from an undeformed shape to a deformed shape and to retain the deformed shape.

A lens frame locking mechanism comprises a temple and a link member. The temple is pivotally coupled to a periphery of the lens frame, for example at a first pivot attachment. The link member is pivotally coupled to the temple and to the periphery of the lens frame, for example at second and third pivot attachments. The temple is configured to pivot with respect to the lens frame about the first pivot attachment, and the link member pivots into a locking position defined with respect to the periphery of the lens frame.

A goggle is disclosed having a frame with upper and lower frame portions with the upper frame portion being substantially more rigid than the lower frame portion. A fastener secures the upper perimeter of a lens to the upper frame portion. The lower portion includes slots receiving tabs extending from opposing sides of a notch in the lens for receiving the wearer's nose. The fastener includes an elongate member insertable within a slot formed in the lens and rotatable to a crosswise position hindering removal of the elongate member from the slot.

Goggles, protective wear, and methods attaching and detaching a goggle are disclosed. In a described example, protective wear includes a goggle and a helmet. The goggle include first and second strap attachments coupled to a strap. The first strap attachment is pivotally connected to a goggle assembly and the second strap attachment has a post. The helmet includes an anchor positioned in an opening in the helmet and is oriented to position an anchor channel to be in line with a recess formed on an exterior of the helmet. The anchor is configured to receive the post and pivotally secure the post therein to attach the goggle to the helmet. The anchor is further configured to release the post responsive to the second strap attachment pulled in a direction substantially parallel with the anchor channel of the anchor.

Eyewear lens attachment system and method

The invention is directed to a reinforced nose bridge structure, eyeglasses employing the reinforced nose bridge structure, and methods of making reinforced nose bridge structures and eyeglasses. A reinforced nose bridge structure includes an elongated body and a wire extending along the body for most of its length. The ends of the wire project from the body to form a pair of spaced-apart nose pad supports. Respective nose pads are mounted at the ends of the wire forming the nose pad supports. The nose bridge may be attached directly to eyeglass lenses or to complete or partial frames for the lenses.
