Systems and methods of monitoring, analyzing, optimizing and controlling data centers and data center operations are disclosed. The system includes data collection and storage hardware and software for harvesting operational data from data center assets and operations. Intelligent analysis and optimization software enables identification of optimization and/or control actions. Control software and hardware enables enacting a change in the operational state of data centers.

Data center intelligent control and optimization

A data center system can include a mobile support structure; one or more enclosures for removable electronic equipment where the enclosures are housed by the support structure; a cooling system in fluid communication with the enclosures for cooling of the electronic equipment where the cooling system is housed by the support structure; and a power system operably connected to the electronic equipment and the cooling system for supplying power thereto where the power system comprises a generator housed by the support system. System and method of providing computer resources

A thermal cage for managing environmental conditions affecting electronic equipment. The thermal cage can be connectable with a plenum and a supply channel. Additionally, the thermal cage can include a cabinet faulting an enclosure for the electronic equipment and an outlet in fluid communication with the cabinet, wherein the outlet is connectable to the plenum. Furthermore, the thermal cage can include an inlet in fluid communication with the cabinet, wherein the inlet is connectable to the supply channel, and a thermal curtain comprising a plurality of adjustable barriers for directing air flowing through the cabinet to the outlet, wherein the thermal cage is movable.

Apparatus and method for regulating environmental conditions associated with equipment

A modular data center includes a controller; a data center control system configured to collect data center data associated with the modular data center via communication with one of the controller and a plurality of sensors; and a data module connected to a power supply source. The power supply source includes at least one of a power grid, a backup power source and a power module. The power module includes electronics equipment for conditioning and distributing power to the one or more data modules. The data module includes a first enclosure defining a first internal space; and a first sensor in the plurality of sensors. The first sensor is in communication with at least one of the controller and the data center control system. A second sensor in the plurality of sensors is in communication with the power supply source.

Modular data center

Described are methods, systems, and apparatus relating to a modular data center. In some embodiments, a modular data center includes one or more data modules. The modular data center includes a network module connected to the one or more data modules, the network module containing equipment for facilitating data communications by the one or more data modules. The modular data center includes a power module connected to the one or more data modules and the network module, the power module containing electronics equipment for conditioning and distributing power to the one or more data modules and the network module. In the modular data center, each module of the one or more data modules, the network module, and the power module comprises: an enclosure defining an internal space; a floor within the enclosure separating the internal space into an above-floor space and a sub-floor space; and a plurality of bays in the subfloor space, each bay of the plurality of bays configured to contain a field-replaceable environmental management component.

A control system for providing thermal management of electronic equipment housed in a cabinet enclosure. The system can include a plurality of sensors in proximity to the cabinet enclosure for monitoring a temperature, a pressure and a humidity associated with the electronic equipment; and a controller in communication with the sensors for receiving data from the sensors, where the controller adjusts the temperature, the pressure and the humidity associated with the electronic equipment.

Apparatus and method of environmental condition management for electronic equipment

A data center system can include a mobile support structure; one or more enclosures for removable electronic equipment where the enclosures are housed by the support structure; a cooling system in fluid communication with the enclosures for cooling of the electronic equipment where the cooling system is housed by the support structure; and a power system operably connected to the electronic equipment and the cooling system for supplying power thereto where the power system comprises a generator housed by the support system. The mobile data center can be moved to remote locations, and the electronic equipment can be placed in communication with a network when at the remote location. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A thermal management cabinet for electronic equipment such as servers, having an opening in the top and bottom of the cabinet. The cabinet extends between a raised access floor of a building carrying cooled air and a drop ceiling for venting heated air. The bottom opening of the cabinet is alignable with an opening in the access floor such that cool air can pass into the cabinet and can flow through the electronic component storage area to the top opening, which is alignable with an opening in the drop ceiling. The cabinet interior is separated into temperature zones comprising at least a cold zone supplied with air from the access floor and a hot zone for venting through the top opening. At least one baffle creates the temperature zones such that air is directed to flow from the cold zone through the electronic component storage area to the hot zone.
