A brain-wave analysis method for analyzing a brain wave by extracting a power spectrum of the brain wave from detected brain-wave biological signals, detecting the presence or absence of peaks formed in the frequency band of each brain-wave rhythm in the power spectrum, and analyzing the brain wave based on the presence or absence of the peak spectrum; and brain-wave analysis apparatus for realizing the aforementioned method comprising a brain-wave extracting device for extracting a power spectrum with respect to a brain wave from detected brain-wave biological signals, and a peak detecting device for detecting the presence or absence of spectrum peaks formed in each brain-wave rhythm frequency band in the brain-wave power spectrum extracted by the brain-wave extracting device.

Brain-wave analysis method and apparatus

A control-signal input device for computer game machines for generating game control signals based on the analysis results of biological signals, such as brain waves, in which a biological signal extracted by a biological-signal extracting means is analyzed. Signal components of each of a plurality of frequency components in the biological signal are obtained based on the above analysis results. The state of the biological signal is obtained by subjecting the signal components of each of the frequency components to a predetermined processing. A predetermined game control signal is generated in accordance with the state of the biological signal, and transmitted to a game machine via a changeover device.

A filter-coefficient conversion system relating to n pieces of digital filters for obtaining n pieces of frequency components in a desired frequency band using filter coefficients a(i, j) (where i=0, - - - m.sub.j, j=1, - - - n) described in a given filter-bank table, comprising a first transfer-function processing device for obtaining transfer functions H(a(i, j)) for the filter coefficients a(i, j) corresponding to each filter (j) in a desired frequency band, a variable-range generating device for generating gradually value-changing ranges RANGE (m), a second transfer-function processing device for obtaining new converted filter coefficients A (i, j) having rounded integer values based on the filter coefficients a (i, j) in the filter-bank table, preparing a filter-bank table thereof, and obtaining transfer functions H(A (i. j)) for the converted filter coefficients A (i, j), and an evaluating device for carrying out evaluation processing with respect to a given degree of tolerance.

Filter-coefficient conversion system

A biological signal processing system for extracting differential signals for alternating signals detected by at least two sensors, and analyzing and processing a plurality of frequency components contained in the differential signals within a predetermined time span, in which a low-pass filter to which the alternating signals are inputted, and a high-pass filter to which the output of the low-pass filter is supplied are provided to extract signals being analyzed having frequencies higher than the cut-off frequency of the low-pass filter and lower than the cut-off frequency of the high-pass filter; the signals being analyzed are sampled; and data signals on the signals being analyzed for every predetermined time span are supplied to a personal computer; the personal computer extracting from the data signals signal components for each of a plurality of frequency components by means of a plurality of digital filters, and visually displaying the signal components for each of the extracted frequency components.
