An electrosurgical pencil includes a body. The body includes a track extending along a distal end of the body. A treatment blade extends from the distal end of the body and is electrically connected to a first potential of a source of electrosurgical energy. The treatment blade is configured to treat tissue upon activation thereof. A protective guard is configured to slide along a track between a first position concealing a distal end of the treatment blade and a second position exposing the distal end of the treatment blade. A return electrode is disposed on an exposed surface of the protective guard. The return electrode is electrically connected to a second potential of the source of electrosurgical energy. A biasing member includes a first end operably connected to the distal end of the body and a second end operably connected to the protective guard.

The cinch is selectively engagable with the flexible band to fix the diameter of the open top end portion of the bag.

A tissue guard includes a body defining an open proximal end, an open distal end, and a lumen extending through the body between the open proximal end and the open distal end. The tissue guard further includes a lip extending radially outwardly from the open proximal end of the body. A cutting guard for use with a wound retractor includes a body having a lumen including a flexible inner surface with a ground contact extending therethrough. A ground guard is included having proximal and distal openings that define a guard lumen therethrough, the ground guard encapsulating the flexible inner surface of the body lumen. A biasing element is disposed within the guard lumen and encircles the flexible inner surface and biases the flexible inner surface inwardly. A cutting electrode is disposed proximate the distal opening of the ground guard and connects to a first electrical potential and the ground guard connects to a second electrical potential. Upon externalizing of tissue through the distal opening, oversized tissue forces the flexible inner surface of the body lumen and the ground contact outwardly to engage the ground guard to complete an electrical circuit and energize the cutting electrode to excise oversized tissue.

A tissue specimen retrieval device includes a first shaft and a second shaft telescopically movable relative to the first shaft. The second shaft supports an end effector assembly at a distal end thereof and is movable relative to the first shaft between a retracted position, wherein the end effector assembly is disposed within the first shaft, and a deployed position, wherein the end effector assembly extends from the first shaft in an expanded configuration. The end effector assembly includes a bag brim having a wire support with first and second ends that operably engage the distal end of the second shaft. The bag brim is transitionable from a first collapsed configuration within the first shaft to an expanded configuration upon deployment therefrom. The wire support includes torsion springs disposed between the first and second ends that cooperate to facilitate expansion of the bag brim upon deployment from the first shaft.

A removable seal assembly configured to engage an access device includes a body including a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a passageway extending longitudinally therethrough. The proximal portion defines an annular distally-oriented surface and the distal portion defines an annular proximally-oriented surface. The body is configured for positioning within an access device such that the annular distally-oriented surface and the annular proximally-oriented surface engage opposing surfaces of the access device therebetween. An O-ring disposed about the body between the annular distally-oriented surface and the annular proximally-oriented surface. The O-ring is configured to establish a fluid tight-seal between the body and the access device.
