A device for positioning a flattening filter in the center of an x-ray radiation, which comprises a drive means for driving the flattening filter between positions outside and inside the x-ray radiation; and a stop means for restricting the inside movement of the drive means to the center position of the flattening filter.

A patient treatment table has a base and a table plate upon which a patient may be positioned. A spine having two bars supports at least one part of the table. The bars are so mounted that they may be shifted towards and away from each other beneath the table plate while keeping the table plate unmoved.

Patient treatment table

The apparatus comprises a first apparatus part and a second apparatus part which is disposed on and extends outward from the first part. The second part is movable with respect to the first part between an attracted position, in which it is extended to a predetermined extent, and a retracted position, in which it is extended to a lesser extent. The apparatus also comprises a security device disposed on at least one of the first and second parts. This device includes a magnetic device for exercising an attractive magnetic force between the first and second parts. Thereby the second apparatus part is maintained in the attracted position. It also includes a spring device for exercising an attractive mechanical force between the first and second parts. The mechanical force is comparatively low in the attracted position. It increases with increasing deviation from the attracted position towards the retracted position.

Medical apparatus

The medical couch contains a lower frame, an upper frame for carrying a table top, and a link mechanism interconnecting both frames. The link mechanism includes pivotally interconnected support arms which are operated in a scissor action to lift and lower the upper frame with respect to the lower frame. An electronic motor drive system containing an electric motor and a lead screw is provided for performing such operation. The drive system is pivotally connected to the lower frame such that the lead screw extends towards the upper frame. The pivoting axis is arranged horizontally. A nut element which is mounted on the lead screw travels therealong when the motor is in operation. The nut element is provided for supporting the link mechanism and pivotally connected therewith. The nut element will be pivoted about an upper horizontal axis when it travels along the lead screw. The nut element moves the upper frame to a selected horizontal position above and parallel to the lower frame.

Medical couch

The medical couch contains a lower frame, an upper frame for carrying a patient table top, and a link mechanism interconnecting both frames. The link mechanism includes two pairs of pivotally interconnected support arms which are operated in a scissors action to lift and lower the upper frame with respect to the lower frame. An electronic motor drive system containing an electric motor and a lead screw is provided for performing such operation. The drive system is pivotally connected to the lower frame such that the lead screw extends towards the upper frame. The drive system is rotatable about a pivoting axis which is arranged horizontally. A nut element which is mounted on the lead screw travels therealong when the motor is in operation. The nut element is provided for supporting the link mechanism. It is pivotally connected therewith. The nut element will pivot about an upper horizontal axis when it travels along the lead screw. The nut element moves the upper frame to a selected horizontal position above and parallel to the lower frame. A spring device is provided for preventing a sudden return of the couch from a raised position to a lowered position. The spring device preferably contains a multitude of spring washers which are slidably arranged on a guiding shaft.
