An inkjet ink composition having a binder including an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles, the polymer including, as polymerized units, (a) from 0 to 1 wt. % monoethylenically unsaturated acid monomer, based on polymer weight; and (b) monomer of the formulaCH&#x2550;C(R1)&#x2014;CON(R2)(R3)wherein R1&#x2550;H, CHor CHand R2 and R3 are independently selected from C1-C6 saturated alkyl and cycloalkyl groups; and wherein the total of (a) and (b) is at least 0.1 wt % monomer based on the polymer weight. The binder may be a copolymer of ethyl acrylate and acrylamide. An inkjet ink composition including the inkjet ink binder, a colorant, and a liquid medium is also provided.

Processes for modifying the surface chemistry of a clay are disclosed. In one embodiment, there is provided a process for modifying the surface chemistry of a clay, wherein the process comprises: providing a clay dispersion comprising at least one unmodified clay wherein said clay has a first exchangeable cation; adding a second cation to the clay dispersion, wherein at least a portion of the second cation exchanges with at least a portion of the first cation to form a modified clay dispersion; and combining at least one polar containing agent with the modified clay dispersion to provide a modified clay.

Modified clays and methods for making and using same

The present invention relates to alkaline, aqueous cleaning concentrates and cleaning solutions comprising a solution of an alkali metal hydroxide, an active chlorine source, water soluble copolymers of a monoethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and monoethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, water and optionally an alkali metal silicate. These cleaning solutions are useful for the cleaning of food soils, more specifically, are useful for the removal of milk soils from cold and hot surfaces without the use of phosphate builders.

Phosphate-free liquid cleaning compositions containing polymer

This invention relates to chlorine-free machine dishwashing detergent compositions that provide cleaning as effective as conventional chlorine containing machine dishwashing compositions. More specifically, this invention relates to dishwashing detergent compositions containing copolymers formed from maleic acid, maleic anhydride, or salts thereof, and a copolymerizable hydrophobic monomer, oligomer or polymer, containing from 4 to 20 carbon atoms. Another aspect of the invention is a chlorine-free machine dishwashing detergent containing low levels of, or no phosphate.

A stabilized aqueous suspension of calcined clay and a method for preparing the same are provided. The method involves an aqueous suspension of calcined clay containing at least 10% by weight clay, and at least 0.05% by weight of a high charge density crosslinked or uncrosslinked acid containing alkali-soluble acrylic copolymer.
