A multi-layered blister package includes a first panel having at least one blister pocket receiving aperture defined therein, wherein a blister pocket protrudes through the at least one blister pocket receiving aperture and retains an article therein. A second panel has at least one exit aperture defined therein, wherein the at least one exit aperture aligns with the at least one blister pocket receiving aperture when the first panel is disposed over the second panel. A third panel having at least one intermediate aperture defined therein, wherein the at least one intermediate aperture aligns with and is between the at least one exit aperture and the at least one blister pocket receiving aperture when the third panel is pivoted to a first position.

A lockable package includes an outer sleeve defined by connected first and second panels, the sleeve having at least one open end. An inner container is slidable within the sleeve, and having a first portion joined to a second portion, wherein at least one of a height and a width of the first portion is less than a corresponding height and width of the second portion. A difference between one of the height and the width of the first portion and the corresponding height and width of the second portion defines a ridge. A locking assembly is provided at the at least one open end of the sleeve and is configured to releasably engage the ridge, wherein the inner container is removable through the open end of the sleeve by disengaging the locking assembly from the ridge.

A multi-layered blister package includes a first panel having at least one first aperture defined therein, wherein a blister pocket is visible through the at least one first aperture and retains an article therein. A second panel has at least one exit aperture defined therein by a first non-continuous cut line, wherein the at least one exit aperture aligns with the at least one first aperture when the first panel is disposed over the second panel. A first fold line separates the first and second panels. A biasing force transmitting member is provided with the first panel, such that a biasing force is applied to the blister pocket via the biasing force transmitting member. The biasing force transmitting member includes at least one of a plurality of spring legs encompassing the at least one first aperture and a shield member disposed between the first panel and the blister pocket.

A multi-layered child resistant blister package having blister packaging that retains an article. A single blank sheet has first and second opposing side edges and first, second, and third score lines that are parallel to the first and second opposing side edges. The opposing side edges and score lines delimit a back panel, first and second intermediate panels, and a top panel having at least one blister receiving pocket. The first intermediate panel is folded onto the back panel about the first score line. The second intermediate panel is folded onto the first intermediate panel about the second score line. The top panel is folded onto the second intermediate panel about the third score line. A cavity through which the article passes is defined at least by the first and second intermediate panels. The back panel includes a tear away panel positioned remote from an outer periphery of the package.

Multi-layered child resistant blister package and method of assembling same

A package having a simultaneous stop, alignment, and enhanced tamper-resistant feature, wherein the package has an outer sleeve and a slide card slidably disposed within the outer sleeve. A stop panel is disposed on an inside surface of the outer sleeve and has an extension panel extending away therefrom, wherein the extension panel enhances the tamper-resistant nature of the package. A guide panel extends along a longitudinal edge of the outer sleeve and has a length equal to or greater than a combined length of the stop panel and extension panel. The guide panel being folded over the extension panel to defined a channel between an edge of the guide panel and a score line separating first and second panels of the outer sleeve.

A package having a locking mechanism and reinforced cell includes first, second, and third panels, wherein the first and third panels are foldable over each other. The reinforcing cell is defined by at least one flap of the third panel folded to have an edge engage an interior surface of the first panel. The locking mechanism is provided by an upper edge of the second panel being engaged by a top edge of the first panel. A push button provided on the second panel is used to disengage the locking mechanism.

A lock and release mechanism of a unit dose package has a cut away formed in the second panel of an outer sleeve of the package, the cut away having a pair of legs extending therefrom and defining a node therebetween. A cut line and a throat region are formed in an end flap of first and second side panels, respectively, of a slide card to bifurcate each end flap into first and second engaging segments. The first and second engaging segments engage an engaging surface of a cut away formed in a second panel of the outer sleeve to prevent the slide card from unintentionally sliding within the outer sleeve. A release feature is formed in the third panel of the outer sleeve. The first and second engaging segments are disengaged from the engaging surface of the cut away by depressing the node via the release feature.

A simultaneous stop and alignment feature of a package having an outer sleeve and a slide card slidably disposed within the outer sleeve. A stop panel disposed on an inside surface of the outer sleeve has a stop panel edge spaced a predetermined distance (L) from a first end of the outer sleeve. A raised flap edge of the slide card may travel across a sliding distance (M) defined by the relationship L&#x3e;M&#x2267;0. When the raised flap edge engages the stop panel edge, the sliding distance is defined by the relationship M=0, the slide card is prevented from further sliding within the outer sleeve, and at least one blister pocket receiving aperture and at least one exit aperture of the outer sleeve align with corresponding at least one aligning aperture of the slide card.

Multi-layered child resistant blister

A child resistant package having a panel that obstructs removal of the articles being held within the package. When the package is fully opened or fully closed, the panel offers resistance to the removal of the articles contained therein. Only when the panel is in an aligned position do holes in the panel properly align so that the articles within the package can be removed. Each article is sandwiched between a top base portion and a bottom base portion of the package such that the panel can slide in-between the base portions when the package is opened or closed.

The compact disc package of the present invention comprises a rectangular cardboard structure folded in a three-fold manner, once at its overall midpoint and at the midpoint of each part of the structure on either side of the overall midpoint. Each side is then folded inwards towards the overall midpoint forming a two-panel structure on both sides. The package further includes a tongue-like strip attached to a panel on one end and folded-over at its other end. The panel opposite that to which the tongue-like strip is attached is slit in a manner to enable passage of a compact disc into and out of the slit. The tongue-like strip carries the disc, on its folded-over end, into and out of the slit.

A carton blank including a reinforced hang tab. The hang tab includes a tab having an upper portion, a top edge defined by a fold line and a cutout formed in the upper portion. A foldover panel is connected to the tab at the fold line. The foldover panel has first and second side flaps and a middle bridge portion that define a notch formed in the foldover panel. Upon assembly, the foldover panel is folded along the fold line and secured to the tab so that the notch overlaps the tab cutout to form a reinforced hang tab with an opening formed therein. The first and second side flaps and the middle bridge portion of the foldover panel reinforce the opening and the upper portion of the upper tab to prevent the tab from easily ripping or breaking. The lower tab that is secured to the bottom portion of the upper tab is configured to correspond to the notch in the foldover panel.

A box-like package or container for electrostatic discharge susceptible devices such as contained on printed circuit boards or the like, wherein the container is formed of electrically surface and volume conductive paperboard or clipboard having surface resistance in the range of about 10.sup.3 -10.sup.9 ohms per square, forming a rapid box, overwrapped with electrically surface and volume conductive paper having surface resistance in the range of about 10.sup.3 -10.sup.5 ohms per square, and provided with a thermoformed plastic insert filler formed of anti-static plastic material providing parallel ribs arranged in vertical planes and defining grooves or slots for receiving and positioning the edges of the printed circuit boards or planiform ESD susceptible devices to be packaged therein. The resistance properties along the exterior of the container and the parallel resistance effect of the conductive paper and conductive paperboard are such that during charge redistribution when a highly charged object approaches near the container, the path of least resistance is around the walls of the container and not through the ESD susceptible devices packaged therein.
