A sound system for providing independently variable audio outputs is disclosed herein. The sound system may include a display device, an audio system, and a transmitter. The display device may receive an audio signal and transmit the audio signal to the audio system and the transmitter. The audio system may condition the audio signal based on different settings provided by users. The transmitter may wirelessly transmit conditioned audio signals to one or more audio devices.

A headphone set can enable the substantially simultaneous output of two or more audio sources to a user. The audio from the multiple sources may be mixed so that a listener can hear and understand audio received from multiple audio sources. Thus, in certain embodiments, a user can consume media and also engage in conversation with other users or listen to ambient sounds, such as a telephone ringing or an alarm. Further, a mobile device, such as a mobile phone, can mix audio from multiple sources enabling a user to consume audio from the device while also listening to ambient sound or audio received from a source other than the device, using currently-available headphones.

A child's portable travel station includes an enclosure with a handle, the enclosure having a lid hinged to a case and having a bean bag or other conformable member attached to the bottom of the case. A receptacle for a beverage container is open at the top surface of the lid and is supported on the floor of the case. An opening in the top surface opens into the beverage container. The top of the beverage container is generally flush with the top surface. The top surface provides a work surface for a child using the travel station. The enclosure includes an internal volume to hold toys, books, writing utensils and other possessions of the child.

This disclosure describes embodiments of systems and methods that use protocols and techniques that can stream audio from a video device to a separate device while reducing or eliminate audio/video synchronization errors. In some embodiments, these systems and methods use Voice over IP (VoIP) technology to stream audio to mobile devices with low latency, resulting in little or no user-perceivable delay between the audio stream and corresponding video presentation. As a result, users can enjoy both the audio and video of any video display in an establishment. In addition, the systems and methods described herein may be implemented in the home or other locations to allow viewers who may be hard of hearing to listen to audio clearly via headphones.
