A hands-free faucet includes a sensing plate, a capacitor-based sensor circuit, a non-conductive valve housing, a non-conductive seating ring, and a conductive connector. Preferably, the capacitor-based sensor circuit is electrically connected to said sensing plate. Furthermore, the non-conductive valve housing preferably further comprises a valve inlet and valve outlet. Preferably, said non-conductive seating ring is located between the valve inlet and valve outlet, and is traversed by the conductive connector. In a preferred embodiment, the conductive connector is a metal pin.

Automatic proximity faucet

A wave control circuit disclosed herein may be used to control the operation of various plumbing devices and appliances. The wave control circuit uses a sensor to sense presence of objects in the vicinity of the plumbing device and appliance using the wave control circuit and a control circuit to control the operation of the plumbing device or appliance.

Wave control circuit

A flexible drive mechanism for a flushing apparatus actuated by movement of a flush handle via an actuation element is disclosed. The drive mechanism includes a housing and flexible drive system in the housing, the flexible drive system including an actuating element operable to move the flush handle between a non-actuating position and a full stop actuating position. The housing further includes first and second bracket halves and first and second removable insert halves for adapting the first and second bracket halves to substantially enclose and engage a bushing and nut and thereby secure said electromechanical flexible actuator to the flush lever of the sanitary fixture.

Automatic flush valve actuation apparatus

A flush valve system includes a sensor, a bias circuit, an electrical switch, a mechanical switch, and a flush valve. The bias circuit generates a bias signal when an activation signal is received from the sensor. The bias signal turns on the electrical switch. The mechanical switch turns on just before the electrical switch is turned off. The flush valve is coupled to the electrical and the mechanical switch to initiate fluid flow when the electrical switch is turned on and facilitate the flow until the mechanical switch is turned off. An automatic braking method includes receiving an actuation signal, actuating an electronic switch to initiate a rotation of a switch cam and the opening of a valve, actuating a mechanical switch when a cutout portion of the switch cam is in contact with a portion of the mechanical switch, and closing the valve when the portion of the mechanical switch is outside of the cutout portion.

Overrun braking system and method

A hands-free device includes a sensor, a motor, a pilot valve, a gear train, an arm, and, an override control. The pilot motor opens the pilot valve when an activation signal is received from the sensor. The arm is coupled to the gear train, and the override control is coupled to the arm. The override control is capable of moving the arm between a locked and unlocked configuration.

A probe for a tonometer has a tubular shaft at the forward end of which is a tubular portion for receiving a membrane. The membrane has a tubular portion and a transverse portion across one end thereof such that the open end of the tubular portion can fit around the forward end of the shaft.

An improved tenometer provides for a bellows and a stepper motor to pressurize the interior of a probe in the barrel into which the probe is fitted for moving the probe outward towards a patient's eye. The device also includes a laser for improved centering of the patient's eye over the eye piece, and a safety detection device for terminating operation of the tenometer if the probe fails to move along the barrel after a given amount of pressure is applied to the interior of the barrel and the probe. A rotatable occluder near the head rest for blocking the eye not being tested and a computer in the instrument records the eye being tested and the test results.

Patient operated tonometers

A stable and highly maneuverable home care intravenous container stand is provided. The present device includes a base defining a low center of gravity which is supported by front casters and back wheels. A main pole is removably retained in a clamp secured to the base. An adjustable sub-pole having a support arm is telescopically carried to the main pole. A vertically adjustable handle is provided on the main pole.
