They are also useful in applications wherein fluorosilicones are exposed to high temperatures, since the stabilizing components reduce the generation of toxic effluents such as trifluoropropionaldehyde and formaldehyde, which can form when methyl-methyl crosslinking of the polymer occurs, and increase temperature stability.
