A power lift platform includes a scissors frame arrangement having a first pair of parallel frame members and a second pair of parallel frame members pivotally connected to the first pair of parallel frame members defining an upper part and lower part for each of the frame members about the pivotal connection. A platform is attached to upper parts of the first and second pairs of parallel frame members. An axle is operably connected to a lower part of each of the first pair of parallel frame members. A pair of wheels operably connect to the axle. A first cross bar connects to a lower part of each of the second pair of parallel frame members. A rechargeable battery is operably disposed on a second cross bar. A electric linear actuator pivotally interconnects the second cross member and a third cross members by way of bracket and pivot pin connection.

Power lift platform

A laminated transparency with an electroconductive coating positioned within the laminate. An edge coating composition is applied about the periphery of the laminate to seal the edge of the coating and prevent coating degradation.

Windshield edge seal

A multiple-glazed window unit comprises a pair of glass sheets held in spaced relation to each other by a spacer and sealant assembly defining a sealed, insulating airspace between the sheets. The surface of the sheets facing the airspace has a protective surface. The spacer and sealant assembly is free of any desiccant. If desired, an opening may be provided through the spacer and sealant assembly to put the airspace in communication with the atmosphere external to the unit. In the stance where opposed openings are provided, and sized and configured to allow free movement of atmospheric air and water vapor molecules through the airspace to equalize airspace pressure and relative humidity with that of the external atmosphere, the protective surface is not needed. A filtering element is employed to minimize infiltration of liquid water, dust, dirt, and the like through the openings and into the airspace. The unit also comprises a sash retaining the unit within a structural opening. The protective coating on the interior surface of the glass sheets and the openings provided a multiple-glazed unit that does not have a desiccant material and has the interior surfaces free of haze.

Insulated window units

A multiple pane unit comprising a pair of sheets maintained in parallel, spaced-apart relationship to each other by a spacing and sealing assembly defining a substantially hermetically sealed, insulating airspace between the sheets. The spacing and sealing assembly includes inner and outer elements. The outer element is adhered to the marginal periphery of the inner, facing surfaces of the sheets. The inner element is self-adhered to the marginal periphery of the inner, facing surfaces of the sheets in communication with the airspace and in juxtaposition to the outer element. Both the inner and outer elements have at least minimum adhesive structural bonding strength. The inner element preferably comprises a moisture vapor transmittable matrix material having a desiccant material dispersed therein, thereby ensuring communication between the desiccant and the airspace sufficient to maintain dryness of the airspace. The outer element is preferably composed of a substantially moisture-impervious material, to thereby prevent saturation of the desiccant and ensure the weathertight integrity or hermetic sealing of the unit.

A braided, composite lead-in conduit for use in conducting electricity to electroconductive heating means of a heated, multiple-glazed window has spaces between individual wires filled with a substantially moisture impervious material to minimize mositure-vapor penetration into the insulating air space of the window.

Hinged glass photomask assemblies for photolithographic processes are disclosed wherein a flexible polymeric hinge is used in combination with a flexible, non-extensible binding strip which prevents lateral movement of the glass plates thereby providing for repeated use of the phototool without the use of registration systems such as alignment pin assemblies.

An adhesion-promoting primer, e.g., an emulsion polymer, is employed to bond organic elastomers to silicone elastomer adhesives. A multiple glazed unit having an organic elastomer sealant about its periphery is mounted into a curtainwall system by first coating the exposed organic elastomer sealant with a suitable primer before bonding the multiple glazed unit to the curtainwall system with silicone elastomer adhesive.

Primed multiple glazed units for curtainwall systems

A multiple glazed window unit employing a room temperature vulcanizable sealant is disclosed. The sealant comes in the form of two relatively low viscosity components, each of which has an unlimited storage life. When it is desired to apply the sealant, the components are fed to an extruder and blended together to form a cold flowable mastic material of relatively low viscosity which cures at room temperature to form a firm, tacky, resilient seal. Because each of the two components of the sealant composition are of low viscosity, the sealant can be extruded at relatively low temperatures, thus preventing rapid curing and insuring that the sealant composition will have an initial low viscosity, thereby permitting it to be applied to a multiple glazed unit with low temperature and pressure equipment.

Multiple glazed unit

A novel sealing and spacing unit for multiple glazed windows, and multiple glazed windows employing such a sealing and spacing unit, are disclosed. The sealing and spacing unit comprises a flexible, moisture-impervious base such as a strip of aluminum foil. Disposed on the base in a lengthwise manner is an elongated, flexible, dehydrator strip which comprises a particulate desiccant such as a crystalline zeolite dispersed throughout a moisture-permeable, elastic, polymeric matrix, such as an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer. The dehydrator strip is secured to the base by a thin layer of an adhesive such as an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer hot melt adhesive. Also disposed on the base in a lengthwise manner are two strips of a cold flowable, moisture resistant, mastic, sealant composition. The strips are preferably spaced slightly apart from, and are positioned on both sides of the adhesively secured dehydrator strip. Preferably, the cold flowable, mastic, sealant composition is an admixture of polybutene and two different molecular weight polyisobutylenes.

Sealing and spacing unit for multiple glazed windows

A sealant suitable for use with multiple glazed window units is disclosed. The sealant comes in the form of two relatively low viscosity components, each of which has an unlimited storage life. When it is desired to apply the sealant, the components are fed to an extruder and blended together to form an initially uncured cold flowable mastic material of relatively low viscosity. Because each of the two components of the sealant composition is of low viscosity and the initially uncured composite of the two components blended together is also of low viscosity, the sealant can be extruded at relatively low temperatures, thus preventing premature rapid curing and insuring that the sealant composition will have a low viscosity and be cold-flowable immediately after extrusion. The sealant is then cured in situ at ambient temperature over a period of several weeks to form a firm, tacky, resilient seal.

In situ curable sealant and methods for making and using same

An additional pane is added to an existing glazing installation to provide an insulating, sealed airspace therebetween.
