An audio cross-connect headphone with an audio cross-connect. A first embodiment has an acoustical cross-connect duct. A second embodiment has a first time delay circuit configured generate a time delayed right stereo signal and mix the time delayed right stereo signal with a left stereo signal, and a second time delay circuit configured to generate a time delayed left stereo signal and mix the time delayed left stereo signal with the right stereo signal. A third embodiment has a Resister-Inductor-Capacitor (RLC) circuit, wherein the right speaker ground wire and left speaker ground wire both split and terminate on a first node of the RLC circuit, then both resume from the second node of the RLC circuit towards the left speaker and right speaker. A fourth embodiment, similar to the third, but the speaker ground wires from the speakers join, but do not connect to the RLC circuit.

Several embodiments of the instant invention incorporate a loudspeaker design utilizing hard magnetic poles and yokes. The magnetic field of the loudspeaker is created and guided with a series of critically formed hard magnetic structures guiding the magnetic field from the primary magnet to the gap in a loop of hard magnetic material, replacing the soft magnetic materials normally used. Magnetization of the components of the hard magnetic loudspeaker driver with radial pole patterns&#x2014;a yoke radial magnet, a washer pole magnet and a yoke upper ring magnet&#x2014;is performed with these components in their final assembly relationships.

An earphone system comprising an ear canal portion with an interior surface having a logarithmic spiral taper shape, a base portion, and a speaker, wherein the ear canal portion and the base portion detachably engage to hold the speaker between and within the ear canal portion and the base portion. In some embodiments, the logarithmic spiral taper shape may further be a golden spiral taper shape, a Fibonacci spiral taper shape, or a cochleal taper shape.

A conductor includes a central element having a length, a plurality of insulated strands disposed about the central element in at least first and second concentric layers, a layer of a dielectric material having a velocity of propagation disposed around the plurality of insulated strands. Each of the plurality of insulated strands has a conductive element and a layer of insulative material disposed around the conductive element and a length approximately equal to an inverse of the velocity of propagation of associated dielectric materials multiplied by the product of the length of the central element and the number one hundred.

An electrical connector has separable members for clamping plural conduits for separable circuits for electronic equipment. The members are clamped by a securement member extending through passages in the members and secured by a fastener. A plurality of prongs extend through openings in the members to engage electrical conductors to external circuits.

A microphone comprises a plurality of oppositely oriented electroacoustic transducer pairs arranged in a body or a resonator cavity and electrically algebraically summed, whereby ambient acoustic shock impulses and vibration induce opposite electrical phase output, while an audio signal entering an acoustic channel to the transducer cavity produces a damped, in-phase, summed output, greatly enhancing the signal to noise ratio and producing a high output level that is substantially non-microphonic.

A multi-strand electrical cable having electrically conductive strands of different cross-sections, i.e. cross-sectional areas, arranged in ascending order of strand cross-section from the center toward the outer circumference of the cable and sized in accordance with an irrational and preferably golden ratio progression in such a way that larger strands are located outwardly toward the cable circumference relative to smaller strans and stabilize the smaller strands against resonant vibration in a manner such as to reduce cable resonance produced by fluctuating current flow through the cable.

Optimum signal/power transmission characteristics are realized in a cable containing a plurality of individually insulated conductors which vary in size one to another wherein the ratio of the size of one conductor to the next larger conductor is about 0.62. Normally, at least three different sizes of conductors will be employed in a cable wherein each size classification differs from the next larger or smaller size classification by the specified ratio. This particular ratio is often called the golden section and is the ratio between the two sizes in which the lesser of the two is to the greater as the greater is to the sum of both.
