An apparatus for extending the lifetime of an LED device is provided. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes an LED printed circuit board (PCB) having two or more LED circuits thereon, where each of the two or more LED circuits includes a plurality of LED emitters. The apparatus further includes a module electrically coupled to the LED PCB that has a selector configured to move between two or more positions, each position activating one of the one or more LED circuits and a relay configured to control a movement of the selector between the two or more positions based on a received input. Additionally, the apparatus includes a power supply that is electrically coupled to the relay.

In one aspect, an exterior lighting insect zapper includes a photosensor configured to sense an amount of light for turning on or off an exterior light and an insect zapper coupled to the photosensor. The exterior lighting insect zapper also includes a twist-lock plug compatible with a receptacle of an exterior light for a photosensor unit plug, such that the exterior lighting insect zapper can replace existing photosensors of exterior light fixtures.

In one aspect, a retrofit and complimentary light assembly for emitting light can be installed in a ceiling with an existing light fixture as a secondary source to provide UVC emitting light for sterilization purposes or alternative visible light for aesthetic purposes. In yet another embodiment, it can be installed as a standalone light system without an existing light fixture into a ceiling with T-bar supports.

Universal retrofit and complimentary light assembly

In one aspect, a light fixture assembly configured for exterior lighting includes a light fixture. The light fixture includes an LED light source configured for exterior lighting, a driver configured to power the light source and a first electrical connector coupled to the driver. The light fixture also includes a housing to house the LED light source and the driver, where the housing includes an elongated extension on which the first electrical connector resides. The light fixture assembly also includes a neck cuff that fits securely to a light pole. The neck cuff includes a second electrical connector inside that is connected to a power source in the light pole. The extension of the light fixture is configured to be inserted into the neck cuff such that the first electrical connector of the light fixture removably connects to the second electrical connector of the neck cuff.

In one aspect, a new light fixture intended to replace an older light fixture includes a light source configured to emit light, a driver configured to control operation of the light source and a body housing the light source and the driver. The body has a back side with two opposing sidewalls angled at least 35 degrees. Stability spacer clips are configured to attach to each corner of the light fixture to help adapt the light fixture to an existing frame in a ceiling including swing frames, T-bar frames and so forth.

In one aspect, a power module configured to provide power to a plurality of LED light fixtures includes a plenum-rated structure. The power module is configured to provide DC power or low voltage AC power to the LED light fixtures via a plurality of plenum-rated pigtail cables and a plurality of quick-connect connectors for each of the pigtail cables.

In one aspect, a light assembly configured to be installed in a movie theatre projector includes an emitter housing with an LED emitter plate that emits a beam of light and a lens assembly. The light assembly also includes a cooling assembly configured to dissipate heat from the LED emitter plate. The a cooling assembly includes a cooling fluid jacket coupled to the LED emitter plate, where the cooling fluid jacket comprises a metal layer enclosing a hollow path for cooling fluid, and where the cooling fluid jacket is configured to allow the cooling fluid to pass through cooling fluid jacket, thereby drawing heat from the LED emitter plate. The light assembly also includes a heat sink and a cooling fan. The cooling assembly further includes cooling sections to cool the cooling fluid that flows out of the cooling fluid jacket.

Light assembly for a projector

In one aspect, a light fixture includes a light source configured to emit light, a driver configured to control operation of the light source and a body housing the light source and the driver. The body is rectangular and configured in length and width so as to slide into a prismatic lens frame of an existing light fixture installed in a ceiling, fill in the frame and be held in place by the frame, where the frame is configured to hold a translucent prismatic lens and close on the existing light fixture. The body of the light fixture is also configured to fit between a body of the existing light fixture and the closed frame. The body is configured in thickness along the perimeter such that the perimeter of the body is able to slide into, fill and be held by the frame.

In one aspect, a troffer light fixture includes a troffer body shaped to reflect or disperse light from a light source that includes LEDs attached to a first side of the troffer body. The troffer body includes two or more vents that are configured to pass air from the first side of the troffer body to open space on a second side of the troffer body for a duct-less HVAC air intake.

According to an aspect, a vapor powered apparatus for generating electric power includes a liquid chamber that contains a working fluid and a first heat exchanger that transfers heat from fluid coming from a heat source to working fluid coming from the liquid chamber, where the transferred heat vaporizes at least a portion of the working fluid to provide a working pressure of the vaporized working fluid. The apparatus includes a pressure motor to convert the working pressure of the vaporized working fluid into mechanical motion for a power generator. The apparatus includes a vapor chamber to capture the vaporized working fluid and a second heat exchanger to use working fluid from the liquid chamber to condense the captured vaporized working fluid. An exchanger fluid system provides the working fluid to the second heat exchanger from a bottom portion of a pool of working liquid in the liquid chamber.

In one aspect, a light assembly configured to be installed in a movie theater projector includes an emitter housing with an LED emitter plate that emits a beam of light. The light assembly also includes a cooling assembly configured to dissipate heat from the LED emitter plate. The light assembly also includes a lens assembly configured to adjust the size or pitch of the beam with a concave adjustor having a concave lens configured to spread the beam emitted from the LED emitter plate and a convex adjustor having a convex lens configured to collimate light received from the concave lens. The concave adjustor is movably attached to the emitter housing and the convex adjustor, and the lens assembly is configured to be manipulated to adjust a distance between the concave lens and the convex lens, thereby adjusting the size or pitch of the beam.
