The present disclosure is to a scale for measuring a weight of a mass inside of an intermodal freight container. The scale includes a first bottom side rail, a second bottom side rail, a first cross-member and a second cross-member, where the cross-members join the first bottom side rail and the second bottom side rail. The scale further includes a jointed member having a first elongate section joined to the first bottom side rail with a first hinge, a second elongate section joined to the second bottom side rail with a second hinge, and a third hinge that connects the first elongate section and the second elongate section. A container floor is positioned over the jointed member to allow force from a weight of a mass on the container floor to be transferred through the hinges into a first lateral force through the first elongate section into the first bottom side rail, where a load cell associated with the first bottom side rail provides an electrical signal whose magnitude is representative of the first lateral force being imparted by the weight of the mass. A microprocessor receives and stores in memory the electrical signal from the load cell indicating the weight of the mass inside of the intermodal freight container.

Scale for an intermodal freight container

The present disclosure provides for end walls for a freight container. The end walls include those for a rear wall and a front wall for the freight container. The rear wall includes rear corner posts each having a recess to receive a rear door hinge in the rear corner post and a corner fitting mounting block. The rear wall further includes corner fittings each having a receiving block, a sill member connected to a first rear corner posts by a member hinge, a header member connected to a second rear corner posts by a member hinge, a first rear wall door and a second rear wall door. The front wall includes front corner posts having gussets, anti-racking blocks, corner fittings with receiving blocks, a sill member, a header member and a front wall door.

Components and end walls for freight container

The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels.

Door assembly for freight container

A jointed member may include a first elongate section having a surface defining a first oblong opening, a second elongate section having a surface defining a second oblong opening, and a fastener passing through the first oblong opening and the second opening to connect the first elongate section and the second elongate section, where the first oblong opening and the second oblong opening move relative each other and the fastener as the jointed member transitions from a first predetermined state towards a second predetermined state.

Jointed member

The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod is mounted to the door of the freight container, where the locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.

One or more embodiments of a jointed member are provided. The jointed member may include a first elongate section having a surface defining a first oblong opening, a second elongate section having a surface defining a second oblong opening, and a fastener passing through the first oblong opening and the second opening to connect the first elongate section and the second elongate section, where the first oblong opening and the second oblong opening move relative each other and the fastener as the jointed member transitions from a first predetermined state towards a second predetermined state.

A reversibly foldable freight container having a front wall and a rear wall, where the front wall includes front wall corner posts, a front door hinge on at least one of the front wall corner posts and a front door joined to the front door hinge. The rear wall includes rear wall corner posts, locking rods, a hinge on the rear wall corner posts and a rear wall door joined to the hinge. The front door can be positioned inside a volume defined by the reversibly foldable freight container. The locking rods of the rear door are shortened to position cams mounted on the locking rods directly adjacent the rear door, where the locking rods, cams and the rear door can pass through an end frame of the rear wall to position the rear door of the rear wall inside the volume of defined by the reversibly foldable freight container.

Reversibly foldable freight container

Structures, methods, and systems associated with a stackable and collapsible container are provided. One structure includes a stackable and collapsible container having at least four non-collapsible, load bearing vertical support members attached to vertical walls of the container and capable of supporting the weight of other containers. A top surface is included having a number of sections which include a pivotal connection to one another and which are collapsible about the pivotal connection to an interior of the container. A bottom surface is included having a number of sections which include a pivotal connection to one another and which are collapsible about the pivotal connection to an interior of the container. The top and the bottom surfaces of the container can be fixedly positioned in a number of collapsed states.

Stackable and collapsible container

A hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having openings through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.

The present disclosure provides a reversibly foldable freight container having a roof structure, a floor structure and sidewall structures. The reversibly foldable freight container further includes a front wall and a rear wall, where the front wall includes front wall corner posts, a front door hinge on at least one of the front wall corner posts and a front door joined to the front door hinge. The rear wall includes rear wall corner posts, a hinge on the rear wall corner posts and a rear wall door joined to the hinge, where the rear wall door can pivot on the hinge to extend adjacent an exterior surface of the sidewall structure or can pivot into the volume of the reversibly foldable freight container. In an unfolded state the reversibly foldable freight container has a predefined width measured at a predetermined point on each of two of the rear wall corner posts. A plurality of jointed members in the floor structure allows the reversibly foldable freight container in an unfolded state to move toward a folded state so that the predetermined points on the rear wall corner posts do not extend beyond the predefined width of the reversibly foldable freight container in the unfolded state.
