An apparatus for storing a wheelchair is provided. The apparatus includes a substantially rigid container dimensioned to receive a wheelchair including a first section and a second section. The first section includes a first end, a first wall extending from the first end, a second wall opposite the first wall, a first side panel extending from the first end positioned between the first and second walls and a second side panel opposite the first side panel. The second section includes a first end, a first wall extending from the first end, a second wall opposite the first wall, a first side panel extending from the first end and positioned between the first and second walls and a second side panel opposite the first side panel. The first section is releasably coupled to the second section to form an interior region for receiving a wheelchair.

Wheelchair container

Miniature peak flow meter is compact, portable diagnostic device of beeper size. It consists of two bodies which create a curved cylinder inside which moves a rotational piston by means of rotation. The resistance to that movement is achieved by a specially created torsion spring. The mouthpiece is folded inside the device in unused position thus contributing to the compactness. By pulling out the mouthpiece and blowing through it, the patient rotates the piston by his expiratory flow and moves a pointer secured in a groove on the top side of the device. The pointer shows the value on a printed scale, and the patient writes it on a recording chart placed on the bottom surface of the device.

Miniature peak flow meter

A dual chamber dispenser is formed of a first chamber and a second chamber connected together by a one-way valve with the first chamber holding a flowable first component to be mixed at a time of use with a second component in the second chamber. The one-way valve permits flow from the first chamber into the second chamber but prevents any backflow from the second chamber to the first chamber. A metered dose outlet chamber is connected to the second chamber by way of another one-way valve, so that the mixed components can be directed into the outlet chamber but prevented from backflow into the second chamber. A dispensing head is connected to the outlet chamber for collapsing the outlet chamber and dispensing selected amounts of the mixed components. With the components in the first and second chambers kept in a separated condition the dispenser has a long shelf life though the mixed components have only a relatively short period of use after the mixing has been effected.

Dual chamber dispenser

A one-way valve for dispensing a fluid material from a container includes an axially extending valve body and an elastomeric sleeve stretched over the valve body in tightly fitting contact with it. A ring shaped enlargement is formed monolithically on each end of the sleeve and fits in sealed contact with reduced diameter portions at the opposite ends of the valve body. The sleeve can be assembled on the valve body in a variety of ways including mechanically expanding the sleeve and placing it on the valve body. The enlargements at the ends of the valve body have a thickness dimension in the radial direction in the range of 2 to 4 times the thickness of the sleeve between the enlargements.

Elastomeric sleeve and method for assembling the sleeve on a one-way

A one-way valve assembly including an axially extending valve body having an inlet end and an outlet end and with an expandable elastomeric sleeve tightly fitted about the valve body. A cover member encloses the elastomeric sleeve and valve body and presses the sleeve into fluid-tight contact with the valve body at two axially spaced locations. Further, the cover member is fitted tightly onto the valve body adjacent its inlet end. A flowable substance flows from a source through the valve body passing to the outlet and cannot flow back to the source.

One-way valve assembly

A one-way valve for dispensing fluid assures, after the fluid has been dispensed, that any flow of contaminants into the source of the fluid is prevented. The one-way valve has a disc shaped valve body enclosed about the circumferential edge by an elastomeric membrane. Separate passageways conduct the fluid through the valve body with the fluid flowing from one passageway to the other between the circumferential edge and the elastomeric membrane. The valve body has a greater diameter than axial length.
