A two-cycle oil is disclosed consisting of a polybutene polymer, solvent and mineral oil which passes the JASO engine test for gasoline fueled two-cycle engines.

There is disclosed a low smoke two cycle oil comprising a solvent and 5-20% by weight polyisobutylene which has a KV of at least 6.5 mm /s at 100&deg; C. and a JASO M342 Smoke Index of at least 85.

There is disclosed a two cycle oil comprising a VI improver, solvent and polyisobutylene which has a Brookfield viscosity of less than 17,000 cP at &minus;40&deg; C. and a KV of at least 6.5 mm,/s at 100&deg; C.

Two-cycle ester based synthetic lubricating oil

A biodegradable two-cycle oil composition which comprises a C.sub.13 oxo alcohol adipate in admixture with a dispersant and a lubricity agent; it is especially useful for outboard marine engines.
