The Active Shooter Response Capability (ASRC) integrates the ASRC application software, heads-up-display (HUD) smart glasses, ASRC processor/transmitter/controller (PTC) and antennas, with either an existing or ASRC provided CCTV/video surveillance, gunshot detection system (GDS), and loudspeaker (1MC). The PTC provides connectivity for multiple devices to accommodate dedicated processing for multiple response teams. ASRC system enables real-time situation awareness providing first responders the ability to visually locate and track an active shooter while executing a breach entry into the scene. When first responders approach the site of a reported active shooter or gunshot detection system alert of gunshot, the ASRC app is accessed on the squad car onboard computer or optional ASRC tablet which remotely syncs with the facility's PTC. This interaction enables the scroll thru each CCTV/Surveillance camera view to locate and lock-on/auto track the shooters movements. This video is live streamed to the officer worn HUD smart-glasses while executing the enforcement. Additionally, the video is simultaneously live streamed to squad car on-board computer and/or optional ASRC tablet and relayed in real-time to headquarters and or scene command post. The ASRC private sector implementation requires the installation of the ASRC PTC controller and software which is connected to existing CCTV and GDS systems or provided as part of the ASRC capability. For Law Enforcement ASRC implementation is at the squad car level and includes the HUD smart-glasses head gear and the ASRC application software installed on the squad car on-board computer and or optional ASRC ruggedized tablet. ASRC provides real-time response capability and is applicable for all facilities and venues.

The law enforcement standoff inspection drone capability (L-SID) integrates Various technology to enable a capability implemented at the squad car level to allow the first-to-scene the ability to remotely pre-screen the scene for threat, before an on-foot approach. This is accomplished with an officer launched and controlled and specially configure small unmanned aircraft system (UAS). The LAS is integrated with a specially configured one-hand drone controller, a wearable see through heads-up-display glasses, microphone that's linked to the UAS's onboard loudspeaker, and a special processing that enables looking through a vehicle of building tinted windows during enforcement event. The system operates on a private ad-hoc network, implements IEEE 802.1 1 g/n WPA 3 standards, and provides continuous live steamed scene data throughout the enforcement event. All data and video collected is transmitted in real-time to headquarters.

An apparatus and method for applying a label to a specific location on a vial. The apparatus may comprise a label dispenser, a vial placement assembly for orienting the vial and placing it onto a track, a pushing device for pushing the vial down the track into an adhesive side of the label, and a labeling gate for contacting a non-adhesive side of the label to smooth the label onto the vial. The apparatus may further comprise a label positioning device for correcting unwanted curling of the label, a stopper positioned to engage a portion of the pushing device as the vial contacts the label to cause the pushing device to release the vial, and a label-release switch configured to signal for the label dispenser to release a trailing edge of the label once the vial contacts the labeling gate.

A stump boot for use by an ankle disarticulation patient having a stump. The stump boot includes a sole, an inner casing, and an outer casing having a substantially rectangular cutout covered by a flexible member. The inner casing is custom molded to fit the stump and insertable within the outer casing. The sole is integrally attached to the outer casing and includes a foam inner sole, an outer sole having a non-skid grip material, a contoured wedge therebetween having an adjustable rubber build-up and a rounded bottom. A buckle and a strap are both integrally attached to the outer casing opposite one another. The strap has a securing fastener and a securing means and wraps over the flexible member and through the buckle for securing the stump within the stump boot.

An improved footwear closure system and composite liner are provided. The composite liner includes a first component that conforms closely to the upper in the area of the heel, toe and side portions of the upper, and a second, stretchable component that extends across and underneath the area between the split of the upper. The second, stretchable component may form an enlarged fold aligned generally with the centerline of the split of the upper. Both components of the composite liner are preferably constructed from a water-repellant or water-proof, breathable material. The composite liner cooperates with an improved closure system having two complementary strips mounted between the split of the upper and underlying the fasteners. When the closure system is drawn tight, any excess portion of stretchable component is collected between and outside the complementary strips, leaving a smooth surface on the inside of the upper in the area of the split and adjacent the instep.

A rapid reprogramming terminal (RRT) adapted for communication with military aircraft MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus which includes generally four avionics and one electronic warfare bus on board each aircraft. The RRT may be used to reprogram all electronic warfare and avionics systems aboard and aircraft including the bus controllers for each avionics or electronic warfare bus and the remote terminals connected to each bus. The RRT includes a high speed digital signal processor which executes functions required to reprogram a remote terminal or bus controller through software stored in an electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM). The information required to reprogram a remote terminal or bus controller is stored on an IC memory card which is electrically coupled to the digital signal processor. When the RRT establishes communications with either an avionics bus or electronic warfare bus, the digital data required to reprogram, for example, a remote terminal is transferred from the IC memory card through the digital signal processor in a serial format to an encoder/decoder which converts the digital data to Manchester encoded differential data for transfer via the MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus to the remote terminal or bus controller being reprogrammed. The present invention also provides for a verify operation whereby the data stored in the IC memory card is compared with the data in the bus controller or remote terminal being reprogrammed to verify that the data is identical.

Laser light reflected from a bar code symbol pattern is detected by a photodetector mounted in a portable scanning head of a laser scanning system. By selecting appropriate threshold values on the analog signal generated by the photodetector, the analog signal is converted to a series of pulses, each pulse width accurately corresponding to the width of a bar from the scanned pattern. A plurality of functions can be determined from the series of pulses, each function being independently selected by keyboard entry from the head, displayed on the head, and/or recorded by a printer remote from the head. Single line or multiple line scans in two orthogonal directions relative to the pattern may be selected. A bimorph or speaker-type oscillatory element may be utilized as a miniature scanning element. Circuitry for synchronizing scanning along both axes, and for generating a signal to drive the bimorph in a uniform, constant velocity manner is also disclosed.

A thermostat for a liquid cooling system comprising a seat member having a flow opening therethrough, a closure member movable between an open position spaced from the seat member and a closed position in engagement with the seat member wherein it closes the flow opening, the closure member or the seat member having an aperture therethrough, a device for biasing the closure member to the closed position, a temperature responsive device for moving the closure member to an open position against the force of the biasing device, and a fusible plug in the closure member or seat member aperture that is adapted to melt at a predetermined temperature. In the event of failure of the temperature responsive device of the thermostat, the fusible plug will melt at the predetermined temperature and open the aperture in the closure member or the seat member to allow the flow of cooling liquid past the closure member when it is in the closed position.
