A spacer system for attachment to a sprinkler to prevent the positioning of the sprinkler too close to a sidewalk or curb, etc., including a spacer which can be attached to the sprinkler, and an elongated stake having a notch for receiving and holding the spacer. Also described is a tool for use in installing the stake in the ground.

Sprinkler spacer system

A computerized exercise cycle is disclosed. The exercise cycle presents an exercise structure having a pair of pedals operable by a user against resistance provided by an adjustable resistance means. The resistance means is controlled by a computer which can be programmed by a user in a user-selected program of intensities to thus vary the resistance intensity over a programmed time duration. The exercise cycle is programmed to display an imaginary speed, a relative resistance level, a time counter or a countdown from a set time, a distance traveled, or a countdown from a set distance, and revolutions per minute. The computer also allows the user to select a target pulse value. The computer automatically adjusts the resistance to cause the user's pulse to approach the selected target pulse. The computerized cycle also allows the user to input background information such as weight, age and sex and to provide Caloric use information based on this background information, resistance values, and RPM's pedaled.

Computerized exercise machine

The invention provides an exercise cycle with a stationary frame, a seat, a pedal mechanism, and a rotating wheel. Resistance is offered to the rotating wheel by an adjustable brake assembly. A handle bar assembly is pivotally mounted to the frame to move back and forth toward and away from the user positioned on the seat. A locking mechanism is associated with the handle bar assembly, so that with the locking mechanism in a first position, the handle bar assembly is precluded from pivoting. With the locking mechanism in a second position, the handle bar assembly is allowed to pivot toward and away from the user. A resistance mechanism is also associated with the handle bar assembly.

An exercise cycle has an upright member with a drive axle and an idler axle each having drive sprockets and idler sprockets interconnected and all positioned within the rim of a flywheel and within the coacting cover which together with the flywheel forms a thin cylinder about the upright member of the exercise cycle.

A safety switch for electrical or powered exercise equipment is provided. The switch includes a switch body slidingly connected to a bar section of typical exercise equipment. The switch body slides to operate a connected electrical switch. To turn on the equipment, a user depresses a button connected to the switch body and slides the switch on. To turn off, the exerciser need only slide the switch body back to its original position. The switch is adapted and located so that during a fall, the motion of the exerciser's body would typically be in the direction of the off position of the switch.
