An apparatus for separating solids from solids laden drilling fluid is provided. The apparatus includes a shale shaker and a screen assembly. The shale shaker includes a base and a basket isolated from the base, a flow tray arranged in the basket for directing screened drilling fluid. The screen assembly includes at least one layer of screening material, a screen support having a perimeter with at least one support point within the perimeter, wherein the flow tray includes at least one raised portion to support the screen assembly. In some versions the shale shaker has a basket having side supports and at least one intermediate support arranged between the side supports. The screen assembly includes a screen support supporting at least one layer of screening material.

Apparatus and method for separating solids from a solids laden drilling fluid

A processing apparatus includes a microwave processing chamber. In addition, the processing apparatus includes a rigid, rotatable feed wheel rotatable about an axis of rotation such that a part of the feed wheel is located within the processing chamber. Further, the processing apparatus includes a feed device configured to deposit materials to be processed onto the feed wheel. Still further, the processing apparatus includes an output into which processed materials from the feed wheel can be deposited.

A screen assembly for a shale shaker, the screen assembly including a support structure and at least one layer of screening material thereon. The support structure includes structural members having a thermal expansion coefficient and the at least one layer of screening material has a thermal expansion coefficient. The thermal expansion coefficient of the structural members is substantially equal to the thermal expansion coefficient of the at least one layer of screening material. A method for making a support structure for a screen assembly is also provided. The method includes placing at least one support member in a mold whereupon a flowable plastics material is injected into the mold, whereupon the flowable plastics material hardens, at least a portion of the flowable plastics material forming a brace.

A method for operating a shale shaker to separate solids from a solids laden fluid, the shale shaker comprising a basket for holding at least one screen and a vibratory mechanism for vibrating the basket to an acceleration value, the method comprising the steps of monitoring the magnitude of the load of solids laden fluid in the basket and adjusting the acceleration value induced in the basket according to the magnitude of the load, wherein the acceleration is stepped down to a low acceleration value below a low load threshold.

A shale shaker for separating solids from solids laden drilling fluid is disclosed as having a basket with a scalping screen deck, at least one first screen deck and at least one second screen deck. The basket further may have a flow tray arranged between said scalping screen deck and at least one first screen deck, and a plurality of first ducts and a plurality of second ducts, the plurality of first ducts for directing solids laden drilling fluid to the at least one first screen deck. The second plurality of second ducts are for directing solids laden drilling fluid to said second screen deck.

Shale shaker

Generally, the present disclosure is related to systems and methods for separating hydrocarbons and/or other liquids from drill cuttings material. One illustrative embodiment disclosed herein is directed to a system that includes, among other things, a thermal reactor that is adapted to remove liquid from drill cuttings material by heating the drill cuttings material to at least a first temperature that is sufficiently high enough to vaporize the liquid. The illustrative system also includes a feeder system that is adapted to controllably feed a flow of the drill cuttings material to the thermal reactor, and a control system that is adapted to control the flow of the drill cuttings material from the feeder system so as to maintain a temperature in the thermal reactor at or above the first temperature.

Drill cuttings treatment systems

The present disclosure is generally directed to systems that are used for reclaiming components of wellbore cuttings material. In one illustrative embodiment, a system is disclosed that includes, among other things, a dryer that is adapted to receive a drill cuttings mixture that includes drilling fluid and cuttings material, the dryer being further adapted to treat the drill cuttings mixture by drying the cuttings material below a preselected moisture content level. The system also includes a moisture sensor that is adapted to sense a moisture content of the cuttings material after it is dried by the dryer, and a cuttings reinjection system that is adapted to reinject the dried cuttings material into a well bore. Additionally, the system includes a conveyor system that is adapted to convey the dried cuttings material to the cuttings reinjection system, wherein the conveyor system includes, among other things, a positive pressure pneumatic conveying apparatus.
