A sanitary towel for absorbing body fluids composed of an absorptive hydrophilic fiber filling having a cover, the cover being composed of a liquid-impermeable composite material and having a defined liquid-permeable zone. The core of the filling material contains an insert having high absorptive polymers therein and being covered with a liquid-permeable woven carrier material, fleece or tissue. Such towels are easy to manufacture, highly absorptive and possess good tactile properties.

Hygienic sanitary towel

This invention relates to a tampon applicator. More particularly, this invention relates to an application system for hygienic introduction of a tampon which comprises a substantially cylindrical outer sleeve, a substantially cylindrical inner sleeve displaceable therein having an outer diameter substantially the same as the inner diameter of the outer sleeve and a flanged end, and a substantially cylindrical tampon, wherein (a) the front end of the outer sleeve is a conically rounded lamellar shutter means consisting of a ring of tulip-shaped lamellae abutting a circumferential groove acting as a hinge means, the shutter means being normally closed and opening during ejection of the tampon; (b) the outer sleeve consists of a high-gloss, plastic-coated paper, said paper being coated on the outer surface and said coated paper being readily water degradable or water dispersible; (c) the inner sleeve is comprised of water degradable or water dispersible paper; (d) the inner surface of the outer sleeve and the outer surface of the inner sleeve have co-efficients of friction such that they do not readily slide without applied pressure but on application of slight manual pressure readily slide, thus facilitating the opening of the lamellar shutter means and ejection of the tampon; (e) the outer sleeve has a grip in the form of a scoring; (f) said inner sleeve has substantially the same length as the outer sleeve; and (g) the outer sleeve, inner sleeve, and tampon form with the closed lamellar shutter means at the front end of the tampon a substantially closed system.

Tampon applicator

This invention is directed to a dispenser for viscous fluids. More particularly, this invention is directed to a dispenser container for viscous fluids comprising a container body provided with a resiliently compressible portion including a mouthpiece at one end of said container body; a storage chamber to hold material to be dispensed; a piston member arranged in said container body at the other end contacting the inner wall of the container to define a boundary of the storage chamber, the piston member being movable towards and restrained from movement away from said compressible portion; a top surface to the storage chamber; an elastically compressible pump having an inlet valve in the top surface, and outlet valve in the mouthpiece, and a pump chamber between the valves, and a separate removable cover for said dispenser container having a stopper means adapted to cooperate with the outlet of said mouthpiece to seal said outlet, wherein the inner wall of the container is roughened at the zone of insertion of the piston in such a manner to permit the passage of air but to prohibit the passage of material to be dispensed and the stopper means is arranged in the mouthpiece outlet in such a manner to permit the passage of air but to prohibit the passage of material to be dispensed.

Dispenser container with compressible pump

A container whose shell consists of two cup-shaped parts bounding respective compartments of the shell cavity separated from each other by a frangible membrane. A piercing assembly in the compartment of one part includes a blade member extending in a closed loop contiguously adjacent the circumferential wall of the one part and spacers interposed between the blade member and the bottom wall which is resiliently movable inward of the shell cavity for engagement with the spacers whereupon the blade member cuts the membrane.

Sealed container with frangible partition

A menstruation tampon of wadding of cotton or rayon staple fibers with a treatment for increased absorbency by addition of a hydrophilic agent including fibers treated with said hydrophilic agent, in the form of a rolled tampon having the improvement wherein the wadding contains an increased proportion of said hydrophilic agent deposited on a longitudinal section which is relatively short in relation to the length of the tampon, which acts as an absorbency reservoir.

Menstruation tampon

The rims of two plastic cups are heat sealed to each other by means of an interposed, plastic-coated aluminum foil which seals the cavities of the two cups and their contents from each other and constitutes the sole fastening element connecting the cups. At least one integral, plastic piercing thorn projects from the flexible bottom wall in the cavity of one cup, and manual pressure applied to the exposed outer face of the bottom wall may cause the blade to pierce the aluminum foil so that the contents of the two cavities may be mixed and thereafter discharged through a normally plugged spout on one bottom wall.

Two-component container and package

A dispensing container with a piston forming the bottom of the container and being displaceable in the container, with a compressible container part, lying in front of the piston and having a mouthpiece, for withdrawal of the contents, of flexible and elastic material, and with a delivery valve opening on excess pressure in the container, the piston being secured by a blocking pawl against any displacement causing enlargement of the interior space of the container, particularly for dispensing a viscous cosmetic, such as toothpaste.

Dispensing container

A disposable container for a two-part composition whose plastic shell defines a cavity. A frangible partition of coated aluminum foil divides the cavity into two sealed compartments. A piercing member mounted on a resilient portion of the shell in one compartment has a free end portion transversely directed toward the partition. It pierces the partition when the resilient shell portion is pushed manually inward of the cavity, and the contents in the one compartment may then be pumped into the other compartment by alternatingly pressing and relaxing the resilient shell portion.
