A method of manufacturing a functional part of synthetic resin material in a bearing plate so as to have good bearing properties. The functional part is formed at a bearing plate by a synthetic-resin injection-molding technique (outsert molding technique) with a bridge portion extending through a hole having hole walls of the bearing plate and with integral retaining portions disposed at both plate surfaces laterally of the hole. The functional part consisting of the bridge portion and the retaining pieces is then changed by a deformation process following the injection-molding operation so that it forms a rotation or slide bearing together with the bearing plate. In the deformation process, the synthetic resin material is pressed away by a mandrel acting on an internal wall of a bore in the bridge portion to cause the synthetic material to flow towards the hole wall of the bearing plate and longitudinally towards the plate surfaces. A load-resistant, partial molecular re-orientation is obtained, which may be rendered heat-resistant after the deformation through fixation and possibly by storing.

A magnetic-tape-cassette apparatus includes a deck, a reel-drive mechanism forming part of the deck, and a head support which carries a magnetic head and is movable between a play position, in which the head can be applied to a magnetic tape accommodated in a magnetic-tape cassette, and an eject position. The head support is spring-loaded towards the eject position and is movable towards the play position by a traction mechanism. A drive wheel of the traction mechanism is rotatable by a drive device of the deck. The traction mechanism further includes a segmental toothed wheel which has a toothless portion and which can be driven by the drive wheel of the reel-drive mechanism, the toothless portion facing the drive wheel in the play and the eject position of the head support through the action of a latching device. The segmental toothed wheel further includes a wholly toothed segment which meshes with a traction wheel having a pin which can act upon the head support in such a manner that it either presses said support into the play position or blocks the rotation of the traction wheel in a position in which the toothless portion faces the drive wheel and is consequently not in mesh with said drive wheel.

A magnetic-tape cassette apparatus having a deck for magnetic-tape cassettes with a reel drive mechanism for transporting a tape with a first and an opposite, second tape transport direction. The change-over from the first tape transport direction to the opposite second tape transport direction is affected by a switching mechanism which switches the reel-drive mechanism between a play mode in the forward direction and a play mode in the reverse direction. The switching mechanism includes a switching lever moveable from a first position for the first playing direction to a second position for the opposite second play direction. The switching lever is moved by a pair of switching wheels, whose teeth are engageable with associated teeth of adjacent flywheels for changing over the switching lever from the predetermined position for one playing direction to the predetermined position for the opposite other playing direction by actuating elements provided on the switching wheels.

A technical device, in particular an electromechanical running gear for the movement of information carriers, such as magnetic tapes or discs, having a carrier plate (1) made of metal at which movable functional parts (5, 7) made of synthetic resin are formed by an injection molding process (outsert molding). Each functional part is held in a respective hole (3, 4) in the plate by means of retaining pieces (5a, 5b, 7, 7c) made of synthetic resin which overlie both plate surfaces (1c, 1d). The retaining pieces are interconnected through the hole by an integral synthetic-resin connection bridge (5b, 7b) integral with these pieces. Clearance sufficient to obtain a smooth movement of the functional parts (5, 7) in the holes (3, 4) is obtained through mechanical deformation of the retaining pieces subsequent to the insertion molding. The holes 3, 4 are formed such that the parts 5, 7 may be outsert molded with the parts free of contact with each other yet moveable after molding into continuous engagement with each other.

In the area of the transverse holder wall (322, 348c) there is provided a supporting ridge (327, 349 a, 354), on which the cassette (200) is supported in the ejection position and is movable while being supported, to lower the cassette (200) into the play position the supporting ridge (327, 348a, 354) is movable away from the cassette (200) to allow the rear wall (200c) of the cassette to be lowered.

A magnetic-tape-cassette apparatus having a deck for magnetic-tape cassettes, which deck is constructed for playing and fast-winding operation with a first and an opposite second tape-transport direction. The deck has a first and a second selectively drivable reel disc for the magnetic tape, and a first and a second capstan adapted to be driven in different directions of rotation by a motor. A switching mechanism having a movable transport member switches the reel-disc drive from one reel disc to the other reel disc in order to change the tape-transport direction. The transport member has axially spaced toothed-rack portions which selectively cooperate with oppositely rotating toothed drive wheels for moving the transport member. The transport member is arranged to be pivotable transversely of its direction of translation in such a way that the meshing between a toothed-rack portion and a drive wheel is cancelled in the final stage of the translation movement of a tilting movement of the transport member to disengage the teeth. The tilting movement and the return into a neutral center position are obtained by a return spring which is pretensioned during the transverse movement.
