A hand-held dispenser for applying a tape on a substrate surface, a casing for a supply reel for the tape, a take-up reel, and an application member for applying the tape. The tape is fed from the supply reel to the application member and then back to the take-up reel. The take-up reel and the supply reel are provided separately from each other. The supply reel and the take-up reel are elongated reels. At least the take-up reel includes at least two spaced apart reel members.

The invention relates to a device for transferring a film of adhesive, covering, or colored material from a backing tape onto a substrate, having a housing in which a supply reel and a take-up reel for the backing tape are rotatably mounted. The backing tape extends from the supply reel, loops around an application member protruding from the housing, and extends to the take-up reel. A rotating member is arranged in the drive connection between the supply reel and the take-up reel. The rotating member is connected to the take-up reel by a first gearing and has a rotational axis which is radially offset in relation to the rotational axis of the supply reel. The rotational axis of the supply reel is radially offset relative to the rotational axis of the rotating member.

Hand-held device for transferring a film from a backing strip onto a substrate having backing tape reels arranged next to each other

The invention relates to a manual device for transferring a film consisting for example of adhesive, covering or coloured material from a backing strip to a substrate, with a housing in which a supply reel and a take-up reel for the backing strip are mounted so that they can rotate via a pivot bearing, which is formed by two coaxially arranged bearing components, engaging in each other like sleeves in the region of an annular or hollow cylindrical bearing joint, of which one bearing component is held on the housing so that it cannot rotate and the other bearing component is a part of the relevant reel support and in the course of which a return stop is provided for both reels with a locking pawl which meshes with a gear ring. To guarantee a compact design and economical fabrication, the locking pawl is arranged on the one bearing component against a spring force so that it yields elastically and the gear ring is arranged on the other bearing component.

Manual device for transferring a film from a backing strip to a substrate

A device for transferring a film from a tape carrier to a substrate. The device, otherwise known as a tape applicator, has a housing in which are arranged a supply wheel for the tape carrier coated with the film, and a take-up wheel (displaced radially with respect to the supply wheel) for receiving the tape carrier once the film has been separated therefrom. An application device, projects from the housing and presents the side of the tape carrier coated with film to the substrate. A drive connection together with a slip coupling is formed between the supply wheel and the take-up wheel by a friction drive, in which, when the supply wheel is driven by drawing off the tape carrier, the drive connection drives the take-up wheel at such a rotational speed that the tape carrier remains always tensioned. In order to improve the transfer of torque between the wheels, the wheels each have at least one disc-shaped wheel wall. The wheel wall of one wheel is formed with a slit and the wheel wall of the other wheel engages in the slit and is clamped therein. Rotational movement is thus transmitted from one wheel to the other.

Manual device for transferring a film from a carrier tape to a substrate

The invention relates to a hand-held implement for transferring a film (25) from a backing strip (7) wound on a supply real (5) onto a substrate, the said implement having a housing (2), a pressure-exerting part (16) projecting therefrom, and two bearing and/or carrier devices for the supply reel (5) and a take-up real (6) for the backing strip (7) guided around the pressure-exerting part (16), the housing being able to be opened for the purposes of replacing the reels (5,6). In order to be able to load such a hand-held implement simply and quickly without the costs and material expenditure involved in a replaceable cassette, a loading aid (30) provided for loading the opened housing (2) with the reels (5,6) is proposed in a mutual arrangement of these reels (5,6) that is substantially identical to that of the bearing and/or carrier devices, the loading aid having at least one guide element (34) associated with the guide surface (16b, 18) of the pressure-exerting part (16), which element is designed to ensure that the backing strip (7) extending between the two reels (5,6) rests against the latter in such a way that when the loading aid (30) is in place it at least partially surrounds or envelopes the pressure-exerting part (16).
