A system for conductively charging a motor vehicle includes a charging device and a receiving device. The charging device has an electrical contacting unit and a lifting device operable for axially moving the contacting unit between retracted and extended positions. The receiving device has a receiving chamber for receiving the contacting unit inserted therein when the contacting unit is moved to an extended position. The contacting unit has a cylindrical or truncated cone body and includes an electrical contact ring extending around a lateral surface of the body of the contacting unit. The receiving device includes a radially position-able electrical contact element along the receiving chamber. When the contact element is in one radial position while the contacting unit is inserted into the receiving chamber the contact element electrically contacts the contact ring and mechanically fixes the contacting unit to the receiving device inside the receiving chamber.

System for conductively charging a motor vehicle

An electrical plug connector includes a housing and a plug contact. The housing includes a housing body and a housing part which together form the housing with a receiving chamber therein. The housing body and the housing part are movable relative to one another perpendicularly to a plug-in direction and can be stably fixed to one another in a pre-locking position and in an end-locking position. The plug contact is connected to an electrical connection line and has a detent spring. The plug contact is inserted along the plug-in direction into the receiving chamber. The housing part has a locking arm having a detent protrusion. The detent spring engages the detent protrusion after the plug contact is inserted into the receiving chamber in the pre-locking position. The locking arm fixes the plug contact in the receiving chamber in a form-fit manner in the end-locking position.

A charging system for charging an electric vehicle at a charging station includes a charge module at the charging station and a charge module at the vehicle. The charge modules include electric contact elements which can be interconnected together. The charging system includes an automatic positioning device configured to move the charging station charge module relative to the vehicle charge module to align and join the charge modules together. The charging system includes an automatic feed device configured to enable the contact elements of the charging station charge module to connect to the contact elements of the vehicle charge module when the charge modules are joined together. The contact elements of the charge modules are configured such that the contact elements can connect to each other without overriding a contact force.

Charging device for charging an electric vehicle at a charging station

A contact element for connecting to a cable having a braided shield includes a spring contact sleeve and a crimp sleeve. The spring contact sleeve has an annular ring and spring contacts arranged circumferentially on one end of the annular ring. The spring contact sleeve and the crimp sleeve form an enclosed hollow cavity between one another when the crimp sleeve is joined to the annular ring. The hollow cavity is configured to fully receive therein an exposed portion of the braided shield provided for connection of the contact element to the cable.
