A selection unit for a magnetic resonance imaging system may be provided. The selection unit electrically connects a first number of electrical terminals to a second number of communication entities. The selection unit is arranged in and/or on a mobile object-support element for moving an examination object which is to be depicted by the magnetic resonance imaging system into a recording position.

An apparatus provides signal links of M with N signal connections. A circulator suitable for use in an external field, particularly of a magnetic resonance apparatus, has a planar ferrite structure. Instead of a permanent magnet, a field conducting device is provided that is designed to strengthen or weaken an external field, and/or at least one electromagnet is provided for generating an operating field. The operating field proceeds perpendicularly through the ferrite structure.

Circulator

A radio-frequency transmission device for a magnetic resonance system to generate magnetic resonance exposures of an examination region of an examination subject, has: a first radio-frequency transmission antenna that emits radio-frequency signals in the examination region, a radio-frequency amplifier that supplies the first radio-frequency transmission antenna, with radio-frequency signals with a predetermined radio-frequency transmission power, and a second radio-frequency transmission antenna fashioned to label a medium flowing in the examination region and/or examination regions via emission of labeling radio-frequency signals, such that the medium can be identified in the generated magnetic resonance exposures of the examination region. The second radio-frequency transmission antenna is coupled with the radio-frequency amplifier to supply the first radio-frequency transmission antenna, such that it likewise supplies the second radio-frequency transmission antenna with radio-frequency signals with a predetermined radio-frequency transmission power for the emission of radio-frequency labeling signals.

Magnetic resonance rf transmission arrangement and method with commonly fed labeling and excitation antennas

A relay, in particular for radio-frequency applications, has at least one first contact electrically connected with a first conductor trace, the first contact in a contact position can be selectively electrically connected by a mechanical actuator with at least two second contacts electrically connected with at least one second conductor trace. The relay has a spatially fixed first circuit board with the first contact and the first conductor trace and a second circuit board with the second contacts and the second conductor trace that can be moved against the first circuit board into various contact positions by the mechanical actuator.

Selectively configurable relay

A circulator has a ferrite, and the circulator is arranged in the vicinity of a device that produces a static magnetic field in the environment surrounding the device, this static magnetic field giving the circulator a non-reciprocal behavior, with respect to circulation of energy among the gates of the circulator, as a result of interaction of the ferrite with the static magnetic field. A magnetic resonance apparatus embodies such a circulator, and the basic field magnet of this magnetic resonance apparatus generates the static magnetic field.

A switch matrix has a set of inputs, a set of outputs, controllable switch elements and a conductor arrangement that is connected to the inputs and outputs and to the controllable switch elements. The controllable switch elements together with the conductor arrangement produce switched electrical connection paths between at least two inputs and an output. The electrical connection paths contain connecting branches that, proceeding from the at least two inputs and the output, meet at a junction point. The connecting branches connected to the at least two inputs have identical electrical lengths up to the junction point.
