A conveyance device is disclosed having a line of members which are held by guide rails, and which include end faces located next to adjacent members. Each member has grooves disposed on opposite sides that extend in the longitudinal direction of transportation for receiving the guide rails and a drive source. Each member includes a bore that passes through the member in the transverse direction to receive an entrainment pin. Each member also includes at least one metal piece extending in the longitudinal direction of transportation that is fixed to at least one plastic part such that an end face of the plastic part projects over the metal piece in the longitudinal direction of transportation, the total length of the member being greater than the total length of the metal piece. This configuration provides reduced thermal expansion and, in addition to accurate guidance of the conveyed work pieces, provides for exact positioning under individual processing stations while also providing members that can be easily cleaned.

Conveyance device having a line of members

An apparatus is described for the adjustment of the holding capacity of a package carrier (3) supported on a line (1) and which comprises at least one externally plane side wall (4) which is closest to the line (1) and which extends parallel with this latter and with the direction of conveyance of the package carrier (3), there being on the inner surface of the package carrier (3) recesses (5) for positioning of the package. In order to improve such an apparatus so that the packages are better supported and so that adjustment of the volume is possible by even simpler means at virtually any location on the conveyor, it is according to the invention proposed that the recesses (5) on the inner surface of the package carrier (3) be spaced apart in relation to one another in the direction of its longitudinal central axis (6) and in that the package carrier (3) have the form of a sleeve open at both ends and in that an abutment member (9) should be provided which is adapted for movement in relation to the package carrier (3).

Apparatus for adjusting the holding capacity of a workpiece carrier

An arrangement for protecting a belt has a cover element arranged to at least partially surround a belt pulley, and a hood element arranged on the cover element and adjustable relative to the other in direction normal to the axis of the belt pulley. The hood element may be telescopically displaceable over the cover element and fixable to the same. The hood element may also be formed as a bellows with an adjustable length.
