The present invention relates to a process for the coammoximation, that is to say for the simultaneous ammoximation, of ketones, in particular of cyclic ketones such as cyclododecanone and cyclohexanone. Ammoximation is taken to mean here the preparation of oximes from ketones or aldehydes together with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia and in the presence of a catalyst which essentially consists of silicon, titanium and oxygen, for example titanium silicalite.

Coammoxidation of ketones

A process for preparing cyclododecene by selective gas-phase hydrogenation of at least one starting material selected from cyclododecatriene, cyclododecadiene and mixtures thereof, wherein the starting material present in the gas phase is hydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst in a fixed-bed reactor and the Bodenstein number for the process is greater than 100.

Degradation acids obtained in the synthesis of carboxylic acids, in particular dicarboxylic acids, having from 8 to 16 carbon atoms may be isolated by separating the degradation acids in the form of a solid from the crude reaction mixture, then washing the degradation acids in the form of an oil with water at an elevated temperature. The resulting degradation acids having low oxidant and metal contents, and the metal catalyst may be recirculated back to the process.

Work-up of residues in the preparation of carboxylic acids

An oxime is synthesized by ammoximation of a carbonyl compound. In stage (i) of the process, a carbonyl compound containing 6 to 20 C atoms is reacted with ammonia and hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a) an organic solvent that is a1) at least partly water-soluble, a2) stable under ammoximation conditions, a3) has a boiling point of higher than 100&#xb0; C. and/or is capable of forming a two-phase azeotrope with water, and b) a titanium-containing heterogeneous catalyst. After the reaction, the catalyst is separated from the reaction mixture. The oxime is crystallized and separated from the reaction mixture. Water is removed from the remaining mother liquor, provided the mother liquor is a two-phase system in which one of the phases is an aqueous phase. Water or a water-containing two-phase azeotrope is distilled off from the mother liquor, while the distillation bottoms and, optionally, the predominantly organic phase of the azeotrope are recycled to stage (i).

Method for synthesis of oximes

The epoxidation of cyclic, at least monounsaturated alkenes is conducted by a process, which comprises conducting the epoxidation of a cyclic, at least monounsaturated alkene in the presence of an oxidant in a reaction medium that contains at least 1% by weight of the saturated cyclic alkane corresponding to the cyclic, at least monounsaturated alkene. In a preferred embodiment the reaction medium contains at least 2.5% by weight of the saturated cyclic alkane corresponding to the cyclic, at least monounsaturated alkene.

Process for the epoxidation of cyclic alkenes

Settling times of a catalyst in the epoxidation of a cyclic, at least monounsaturated alkene are improved by a method, comprising epoxidizing a cyclic, at least monounsaturated alkene having from 8 to 20 carbon atoms in the ring in a reaction medium containing an oxidant and a catalyst system comprising at least one metal of Groups 4, 5 and 6 of the Periodic Table of the Elements, phosphoric acid and a phase transfer catalyst and a cyclic alkane having from 8 to 20 carbon atoms in the ring, which corresponds to the alkene reactant, as settling accelerator in the epoxidation reaction.

A molding composition of at least 50% by weight of a polyamine-polyamide copolymer obtained from 0.05 to 2.5% by weight of a polyamine having at least 4 nitrogen atoms and having a viscosity of at least 5 000 Pa&bull;s at 250&deg; C. and at a shear rate of 0.1 l/s, and having a viscosity ratio of at least 7 at 250&deg; C., when the melt viscosities at shear rates of 0.1 l/s and 100 l/s are compared with one another, has high melt stiffness and is easy to cut, and performs well in blow molding.

Molding composition with good capability for blow molding

Oximes are prepared from ketones or aldehydes, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. The reaction is carried out in a system of one aqueous phase and one phase of hydrocarbons inert under the reaction conditions in the presence of at least one interphase contactor and a catalyst system which consists of at least two components. A first component of the catalyst system is present in heterogeneous form and is based on titanium, silicon and oxygen and a second component is a homogeneously dissolved or suspended ammonium salt.

Two-phase ammoximation

The present invention relates to a molding composition containing thermoplastic polyesters, impact-modifying component which contains anhydride groups, a copolymer of &agr;-olefin, acrylic compound, olefinically unsaturated epoxide, carboxylic anhydride, carboximide, oxazoline and/or oxazinone, which has improved low-temperature impact strength; methods of making molding with the molding composition and molding containing the composition.

Polyester molding composition

The selective epoxidation of cis double bonds of macrocyclic aliphatic hydrocarbons having 8 to 20 ring carbon atoms occurs by a catalytic process. The macrocyclic aliphatic hydrocarbons may optionally contain one or more side chains and in which at least one further trans double bond is simultaneously present. The used catalyst system consists of a cationic phase-transfer catalyst and an anionic polyoxometallate which is a polytungstate or a polymolybdate. Additionally, it comprises one or more elements selected from germanium, tin, lead, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, selenium, tellurium and polonium, and optionally one or more transition metals from group 4 to 12 of the Periodic Table.

Oximes are produced in high yields and with high selectivity by reacting aldehydes or ketones with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst and an ammonium salt or substituted ammonium salt. The heterogeneous catalyst is synthesized on the basis of titanium, silicon and oxygen. Optionally, a Lewis-acid and/or Brnsted-acid cocatalyst can be present.

Process for production of oximes cocatalyzed by ammonium salts or substituted ammonium salts

Cyclic alcohols and ketones having from 7-16 carbon atoms are prepared by a process comprising oxidizing cycloalkanes having 7-16 carbon atom s in the presence of an oxygen-containing gas and a sparingly water-soluble and sparingly aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon-soluble transition metal catalyst of Group 6 to Group 12 combined with a boron compound, and separating the sparingly soluble transition metal catalyst by mechanical separation after completion of the reaction.

Process for preparing cyclic alcohols and ketones

Transparent molding compositions are prepared by blending from 50 to 99 parts by weight of a transparent polyamide, and from 1 to 50 parts by weight of a graft copolymer, such that the sum of the parts by weight of the transparent polyamide and the graft copolymer is 100. The graft copolymer is prepared by reacting from 0.5 to 25% by weight, based on the graft copolymer, of a branched polyamine having at least 4 nitrogen atoms and having a number average molecular weight M of at least 146 g/mol, with polyamide-forming monomers selected from the group consisting of lactams, &ohgr;-aminocarboxylic acids, equimolar combinations of diamine and dicarboxylic acid, and combinations thereof.
