Device for the styling and drying of hair

The invention is directed to a glass carafe (1) for storing a brewed beverage, comprising a glass vessel (2) having at its upper end (23) an opening (28) bounded by a rim (34). Affixed to the rim (34) is a plastic ring structure (30) provided with a pouring spout (39) and composed of a first (31), second (32) and third (33) ring. The third ring (33) serves as an outer boundary for the opening (28). The second ring (32) bears against the rim (34) of the glass vessel (2) from above. The first ring (31) engages from above within the opening (28) of the glass vessel (2) by resilient fastening elements (35). An annular circumferential neck (26) is formed on the glass vessel (2) below the rim (34). The fastening elements (35) resiliently engage the inside of the neck (26) from above, resting flush against the inner wall ( 27) in the area of the neck (26). Both the third ring (33) and the first ring (31) extend at a relative distance to the opening (28). This results in a durable firm seat of the plastic ring structure (30) on the glass vessel (2) also under the effect of frequent high temperatures.

Glass carafe for storing a brewed beverage

The jug (1) serving to store hot beverages, in particular coffee or tea, is furnished on the brim (4) on its top side (3) with a spout (8) which, together with the top side (3) of the jug (1), can be covered by a lid (9). In the horizontal position of the jug (1), the top side (3) is covered in the area of the spout (8) by a flap (15) movable around an axis of rotation (27). When the jug (1) is tilted out of its horizontal position to assume its pouring position, said flap (15) is lifted from the spout (8) in consequence of the force of gravity and/or by forces exerted by the beverage itself.

The invention is directed to a bread toaster with a removable crumb tray, including devices which prevent operation of the bread toaster when the crumb tray is not inserted and, secondly, which ensure that operation of the bread toaster is stopped when the crumb tray is removed during toasting.

Electric bread toaster

The invention is directred to an electric heating in a bread toaster, comprising an insulating body (11) and heat conductor portions (14, 14') which may be arranged on both the front part and the back of the insulating body (11) and are pressed thereagainst by mounting strips (21). To compensate for uneven browning of the article to be toasted--which is caused by the bread toaster being cooled by an air current entering at its bottom and subsequently flowing mainly in the area of the center axis (X) of the insulating body (11)--, it is suggested to provide the mounting strips (21) on the insulating body (11) spaced from one center aixs (X) and thus substantially outside the range of action of the air current. In heating units referred to as center heating units in which the heat conductor portions (14, 14')--separated only by the insulating body (11)--cross each other along the center axis (X), high thermal loads and the attendant risks of scorching of the insulating body (11) and of electric short circuits are avoided by the invention.

Electric heating means for a bread toaster

The invention proposes a temperature measuring device for a bread toaster, with a sensing element (1) which is in communication with the toasting chamber (25) through a radiation guide channel (A, B, C, D). The radiation guide channel (A, B, C, D) is formed of several passageways (11, 12, 13) arranged in spaced apart serially disposed partition walls (4, 6, 8).

An electric toaster has heating elements, at least one toast well into which the toast is fed through a loading and unloading opening, and a multi-walled housing. The multiple housing walls are separated from one another and form a meander-shaped flow channel for an air stream introduced from outside. An air stream enters the flow channel through an air inlet opening and cools the outer walls of the housing by convection as it passes through the meander-shaped flow channel and emerges through an air outlet opening into the toast wall. The meander-shaped flow channel includes reversing curve portions located in top and bottom areas of the meander-shaped flow channel structure such that the air stream flows in an upward direction in one portion and in a downward direction in another portion of the meander-shaped flow channel.
