Embodiments perform configuration checking between data types of table fields, in order to determine mismatches therebetween. A configuration check request including a parameter identifying a system is received. A first data type is retrieved based upon the parameter. The first data type is compared with a second, different retrieved data type to determine a mismatch. In some embodiments the first data type and the second data type may be retrieved from different systems, with the mismatch revealing inter-system inconsistency. According to certain embodiments, the first data type and the second data type may be retrieved from a same system, with the mismatch revealing intra-system inconsistency. A configuration check report is generated from the mismatch and communicated to a user, for use in proactively correcting inconsistency. Embodiments may also retrieve values of the data types, as part of value help functionality.

Cross-system configuration checks

A system, a computer-implemented method, and a computer readable medium having stored thereon a computer executable program code for processing data related to monitoring and controlling of a network providing resources to users is disclosed herein. The method includes: receiving a resource usage record (RUR) from the network component for a resource provided to a user, identifying a resource type of the resource by using a resource usage description comprised in the RUR, identifying a user type of the user by using an identification information comprised in the RUR, generating a record in the database, selecting records in the database, each complying with a selection criterion specifying that a record to be selected is associated with a resource type assigned to the selection criterion and a user type assigned to the selection criterion, and sending batch data to the rating system, the batch data comprising resource usage descriptions.

Computer-implemented methods, computer-readable media, and computer systems for processing transactions are described. A provider contract associated with a particular account is identified. In response to determining that the identified provider contract is associated with a periodic activity, a rating request is created that is associated with the particular account. The created rating request associated with the particular account is added to a queue of consumption items for processing, so that the created rating request, when processed, triggers an action corresponding to the determined periodic activity at an external system.

In an example embodiment, a method of handling duplicate records in a computer database is provided. A record is received via an API. An item type associated with the record is identified. A duplicate check schema corresponding to the item type is obtained. A string is generated for the record by extracting values for each of a plurality of fields, defined in the duplicate check schema, located in the record and concatenating the values. Then a hash algorithm is applied to the string to create a hash for the record. The hash for the record is compared to hashes from previous records stored in the computer database to identify whether the hash is a duplicate. In response to a determination that the hash is a duplicate, one or more processing rules from the duplicate check schema are executed.

In some embodiments, a system for database view generation may include a view generator configured to generate a database view for one or more database tables. The view generator includes a generation module configured to determine a generation template for the database view, where the generation template is a code structure describing a manner in which the database view is created. The code structure does not reference a database name of the one or more database tables. The generation module is configured to invoke a code composer to insert code commands into the generation template to build a structured query language (SQL) statement for the database view, where the SQL statement references the database name of the one or more database tables. The view generator is configured to create the database view based on the SQL statement.

A proxy remote function call is created in a first component of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the proxy remote function call acting as a proxy for a previously created remote function call in the first component. A field mapping table may then be maintained for the proxy remote function call, the field mapping table containing a mapping of first data fields used for operation of a process in a second component of the ERP system to second data fields utilized by the remote function call in the first component, at least one of the first data fields mapping to a data field in the second data fields having a different data type and/or different field names. When a call is received from the process on the second component, fields in the parameters of the call may be converted using the field mapping table.

A configurable mass data portioning for parallel processing is described herein. One or more operation attributes are selected to participate in parallelization criteria. The values of the selected operation attributes for a number of operations are submitted to a specified algorithm using to provide parallelization values corresponding to the operations. The parallelization values are applied to group the operations in comparable portions for parallel execution without conflicts.

Data structures used to store data in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system may be configured and custom-generated in a configuration mode of the ERP system where a subset of selectable data fields may be selected to avoid allocating space and resources to unused data fields. The data structures may then be generated in the configuration mode to eliminate the unused data fields at runtime. This in turn saves space and resources that would otherwise be allocated but not used. In ERP systems substantial space and computing resources may be saved by only allocating space and resources to only those resources that a specific customer intends to use.

Optimization of memory by tailored generation of runtime structures

In an example embodiment, a mass reversal of documents in a convergent invoicing system may be accomplished by first receiving a first set of one or more reversal triggers, wherein each of the one or more task triggers corresponds to a document in the convergent invoicing system. Then a reversal task is received, wherein the reversal task corresponds to the first set of one or more reversal triggers. A second set of reversal triggers may then be automatically corresponded to the reversal task, based upon documents corresponding to the one or more task triggers in the first set of one or more reversal triggers. Once an indication that the reversal task has been released is received, for each reversal trigger corresponding to the reversal task, the reversal trigger is processed, causing a corresponding document to be reversed.
