The invention relates to a check valve, for use as an insert check valve, with a valve seat and a valve element that is resiliently prestressed against the valve seat by a valve spring. According to the invention, a retaining element embodied as a retaining bracket is provided, which supports the end of the valve spring remote from the valve element and the retaining element can be locked resiliently to a recess, particularly an annular groove, of the valve housing. This enables fast, simple assembly of the check valve from its individual parts.

Check valve

This invention improves the capability of bleeding a chamber, disposed in the course of a line, that receives pressure fluid. On the pressure side of a high-pressure pump that pumps pressure fluid through a line, a chamber of circular-cylindrical cross section is disposed in its course. Two line segments of the line discharge into the upper face end of the chamber. A guide body disposed coaxially with the longitudinal axis of the chamber is received in the chamber in the region of this face end. The guide body embodied substantially in the form of a circular disk, defines an annular gap toward the inside circumference of the chamber and a subchamber of the chamber toward the face end of the chamber. The guide body directs air located in the chamber into the subchamber, from which it is carried away by the flow of pressure fluid. The hydraulic brake system is especially suitable for motor vehicles.

ABS damper chamber and bleed valve

An apparatus for damping pressure fluctuations in hydraulic motor vehicle systems with an anti-skid and/or traction control system, the apparatus comprises a throttle and a pressure limiting valve. The apparatus comprises a sleeve-like housing with a screen-like throttle body received in it along with a prestressed compression spring with which the throttle body is supported on the bottom of the housing. The housing and the throttle body are embodied as molded sheet-metal parts. On its bottom, the housing has an opening, with a valve seat, made by stamping without metal cutting, of a pressure limiting valve, which is engaged by the throttle body, which has a stamped bulge of rounded shape. A throttle opening of the throttle body, located in the bulge, is disposed coaxially with the larger-diameter opening of the housing. The apparatus can be used in hydraulic motor vehicle brake systems with an anti-skid and/or traction control system.

The invention relates to a brake device for a hydraulic vehicle brake system. In this device, a return feed pump located in a feed pump housing is supported at several points between an assembly housing and a fastening plate and is movable relative to the other components. The mounting is done by screws resting in bearing tubes, the screws being surrounded by elastic damping sleeves in order to enable the elastic mobility of the feed pump housing. The line connections between the feed pump housing and the assembly housing are made by small connecting tubes resting in housing bores in the feed pump housing on one side and in the assembly housing on the other. The through bore extending through the feed pump housing in this region is sealed off on the side of the feed pump housing opposite the small connecting tubes by bolts, which with their part remote from the feed pump housing rest on the fastening plate.

Brake device for a hydraulic vehicle brake system

A brake booster in a housing, having a servo piston slidably supported in the housing and having a piston rod protruding into the housing for transmitting a brake force. In the servo piston, a work chamber is provided for receiving brake fluid drawn after the opening of a valve from a reservoir or supply container and pumped via a pump or the like. The work chamber also communicates via a further valve or the like with a return line to the supply container. To improve valve closing and to shorten the idle travel, the valve preceding the work chamber and arranged for the admission of the brake fluid is embodied by a valve bushing in a blind bore of the servo piston and by a spring-loaded closing element, such as a ball. The valve bushing is disposed between the piston rod and the ball and is traversed by a pin or the like, capable of being acted upon by the piston rod, for lifting the ball from its valve seat.

Brake booster

The invention relates to a brake cylinder suitable for a hydraulic vehicle brake system, having at least one brake chamber and a brake booster, actuatable by a piston rod, with a brake valve assembly that has an inlet and an outlet for power brake fluid and communicates with a pressure chamber of the brake booster. The pressure chamber is located in a longitudinally bored housing section and is defined in the axial direction by one end of a sealed and displaceable sheath and of a rod that is sealed and displaceable within the sheath. The sheath and rod form two servo pistons for generating brake pressure in the brake chamber. The rod is displaceable in an emergency by means of the coaxially aligned piston rod. In a space-saving manner, the brake valve assembly is built into the rod and piston rod.

Brake cylinder

A brake system having a master brake cylinder with at least one brake chamber, for at least one brake circuit, and a brake booster. The brake booster communicates via a servo pressure line with a reservoir or a pump for supplying pressure fluid, and a pressure reduction valve is incorporated into the servo pressure line. This pressure reduction valve has a connection on the other end, via a pressure line, to at least the one brake circuit. The pressure reduction valve can assume three switching positions. In a first position at normal brake pressure, the servo pressure line is open between the brake booster and the reservoir and/or pump. If a predetermined pressure is exceeded, the servo pressure line is closed, in a second position. If a further threshold pressure value is also exceeded, then the servo pressure line is connected to a return line, so that the brake booster can be bled.

Brake system

The invention relates to a brake pressure control valve which contains a brake pressure build-up valve. The brake pressure build-up valve comprises a pressure compensated seat valve. A second valve member, a rod between the two valve members and a tubular compensating piston are provided to produce pressure compensation at the valve member. The compensating piston which encloses the rod is displaceable relative to the latter and comprises a second valve seat at its end directed towards the second valve member. A sealing ring also encloses the tubular compensating piston. When the first valve member is raised from its valve seat, the second valve member can precede the tubular compensating piston, thereby preventing friction forces between this compensating piston and its sealing ring from being disruptive during opening of the seat valve. Also provided is a valve slide which only uncovers flow bores when the seat valve is opened for the purpose of increasing brake pressure. Brake pressures can be smoothly controlled by means of the control slide.

Brake pressure control valve

A lightweight ball-and-socket joint that is for instance capable of being assembled by a robot. The ball-and-socket joint has a ball head, a CIRCLIP and an outer structural part forming a socket, in which there is a circumferential groove the bottom of which forms a support face for the circlip. The support face is substantially defined by a hollow cone and surrounds the CIRCLIP like a jacket, and a flare angle of the support face opens toward the center of the ball head. The CIRCLIP presses with radial bias against the support face and therefore migrates in the direction of its largest diameter and hence toward the center of the ball head until it rests thereon.

Ball-and-socket joint

A self-securing ball-and-socket joint which has a ball head integrally formed on a rod, an outer structural part having a bore that pivotably receives the ball head and a radially elastic CIRCLIP brand retaining ring as well as a separate auxiliary assembly tool for the retaining ring. In the outer structural part beside the center of the ball head, there is a circumferential groove having a support face for the retaining ring. When the ball-and-socket joint is assembled, the retaining ring is first inserted into the circumferential groove. Then the auxiliary assembly tool is inserted into the bore. At its initial end the auxiliary assembly tool is embodied in the manner of a centering and expansion tool, so that it aligns the retaining ring with respect to the circumferential groove and finally forces it into this groove. Upon further displacement of the auxiliary assembly tool, the retaining ring snaps home into a detent notch provided on the circumference of the auxiliary assembly tool. As a result, the retaining ring is prevented from falling out of the outer structural part. For final assembly of the ball-and-socket joint, all that remains to be done is to insert the ball head in the course of which the auxiliary assembly tool moves away from the CIRCLIP retaining ring and the CIRCLIP retaining ring finally snaps home into its securing position in the groove in the rod outwardly of the ball head.

Ball-and-socket joint assembly tool and method

A ball joint that cannot be disassembled intended for use in a brake booster. The ball joint comprises a first, substantially rod-like component, which has a ball head; a second component, which has an insertion opening, which narrows in funnel-like fashion in the area of its beginning and is provided with an annular groove spaced apart from the beginning, a radially elastic securing ring, which is insertable into the insertion opening and lockable into place in the annular groove, as well as a sleeve, which has an annular groove for receiving the securing ring during the insertion into the insertion opening until it locks into place in the detent provided by the annular groove of the outer component. The sleeve surrounds the ball head in an articulated and undetachable manner.

Ball joint for a brake booster

A servo mechanism for adjusting the position of a biased control member of a sliding ring for controlling pressure fluid in a main conduit of a hydraulic machine, comprises a manually adjustable sleeve, a setting piston arranged for reciprocating movement in the sleeve and being hydraulically connected thereto to resume a position preset by the sleeve, a follower piston coupled between the setting piston and the biased control member of the recoiling device, a control pressure space provided above the follower piston, a unidirectional first control conduit delivering a regulating stream of pressure fluid from the main conduit to actuate the setting piston, a second control conduit between the main conduit and the pressure space, and a flow controlling valve controlled by pressure in the first control conduit for equalizing pressure between the pressure space and the main conduit thus allowing override of the setting piston during the pressure setting operation.
