In a filter body for a particle filter with a filter part, comprised of a gas-permeable support material coated with a sintered metal powder, and with a connection part connected with the filter part and provided for welding together with a holding element, the filter part and the connection part together form a closed volume and the connection part is comprised of a gas-impermeable material.

A device for exhaust-gas purification utilizes reduction of nitrogen oxides which are present in the exhaust gas from internal combustion engines by way of gaseous ammonia with an SCR catalytic converter. The functions of the device are monitored with regard to their line paths with connections, valves and sensors by referring to these elements themselves using suitable control circuitry via the evaluation and control unit.

A filter assembly for an exhaust gas purification system of an internal combustion engine. The filter assembly, has porous filter plate elements, connected with each other on their outer as well as on their inner peripheries, forming in pairs as filter pockets. Catalytic agents such as ammonia are applied to the filter pockets on the outer and/or inner sides to oxidize carbon black contained in the combustion gas. In an operating method for internal combustion engines which operate with exhaust-gas aftertreatment systems, in particular diesel internal combustion engines, a plurality of operating programs are used. The first of these programs, as an initial stage, works on the basis of automatic regeneration. The second of these programs provides measures which assist regeneration, for example by increasing the exhaust-gas temperature, in the event of conditions which are unfavourable for regeneration, for example on account of unfavourable driving cycles. The third of these programs has the purpose of reactivating the damaged components in the event of non-irreversible damage to the components of the exhaust-gas system.

Compressed air, provided by the charge air of a charging groupof the internal combustion engine, flows though the mixing chamber in the direction toward the exhaust gas systemto mix the reducing agent output with an air stream.

A diesel particle filter for lowering the emission of particles contained in the exhaust gas of a Diesel engine, is disclosed with the impaction surface of the diesel particle filter is developed such that binding forces of the ash to filter is lowered. A reducing agent dosing device for delivering a reducing agent into the exhaust gas system of the internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The internal combustion engine has fuel carried along in a fuel tank with a fuel return line disposed between the internal combustion engine and the fuel tank. The reducing agent dosing device has a reducing agent tank connected to exhaust gas system of the internal combustion engine by a supply line. The supply line for is disposed such that it is in heat-conducting connection with the fuel return line of the internal combustion engine to heat the reducing agent carried in the supply line.

An exhaust gas purification system for denoxing exhaust gases has a converter containing a substance thermolytically separable into NH,, a feed line connecting the converter with an exhaust gas line for supplying NH,into the exhaust gas flow therein, a dosing device in the feed line for dosing the NH,to be introduced into the exhaust gas flow, a heatable cold-start store connected to the feed line between the converter and dosing device for providing the substance during starting of a combustion unit connected to the exhaust gas line, an air feeding device having two air conduits provided with valves wherein one conduit is connected to the feed line between the cold-start store and dosing device and the other conduit is connected to a mixing chamber located in the feed line after the dosing device, and a reservoir container for storing the substance connected to a filling pipe terminating in the converter.
