The invention relates to a light emitting device (LED), especially a LED at least partly embedded in transparent or translucent silicone fill, whereby the embedded LED is housed in a white silicone housing. Here and in the following, the wording transparent silicone fill always means a transparent or translucent silicone material. The invention further relates to a method for embedding the LED partly in a white silicone housing on the one hand and partly in transparent silicone fill on the other hand. The invention finally relates to the transparent silicone fill. The inner part of the LED device is at least partly embedded in transparent silicone fill, wherein the at least partly embedded LED device is housed in a white silicone housing comprising a white box silicone. A part of the inner part of the LED device is embedded in the white box silicone.

Light emitting device

A method for manufacturing light emitting elements is described and includes providing an un-coated light converting platelet. The un-coated light converting platelet has a top surface, a bottom surface, and side surfaces. A plurality of LED dies is provided. Side surfaces of the un-coated light converting platelet are coated with an at least partly reflective material to form a coated light converting platelet. The coated light converting platelet is separated into light converting tiles. An outline of the light converting tiles substantially corresponds to an outline of one of the plurality of LED dies. The light converting tiles and the plurality of LED dies are assembled to form light emitting elements.

Method for manufacturing light emitting elements, light emitting element, lighting device and automotive headlamp

A light source includes a first light emitting diode (LED) die configured to emit a first die color and a second LED die configured to emit a second die color, the first and second LED dies provided on a substrate. A first filling covering the first LED die, and includes a first phosphor to convert the first die color to a first illuminous color. A second filling covering the second LED die and extending to the first filling, and includes a second phosphor to convert the second die color to a second illuminous color that has a higher absorption energy than an illumination energy of the first illuminous color.

A lighting device and a method of manufacturing a lighting device are described. A lighting device includes a heat sink providing a first mounting area for at least one LED element, a second mounting area for at least one electrical connection assembly, and a cavity adjacent the first mounting area. An inner part is arranged at least partially inside the cavity and includes at least a first and a second connection terminal and at least one electrical connection path. The first and the second connection terminal are provided on a surface of the inner part. The first connection terminal is arranged between the first mounting area and the second connection terminal. The second connection terminal is arranged between the second mounting area and the first connection terminal. The electrical connection path is provided at least partially inside the inner part connecting the first and second electrical terminal.

Lighting device with high flexibility in connecting electrical components

Lighting devices and methods of manufacturing lighting devices are described. A lighting devices includes at least one thermally conductive element, at least one lighting module thermally coupled to the at least one thermally conductive element, and an overmould at least partially encasing the at least one thermally conductive element, the overmould comprising at least one receiving portion. The at least one circuit board is mounted in the at least one receiving portion and is at least partially exposed from the overmould. The at least one circuit board includes at least one connector and at least two bond pads. The at least one connector includes surface accessible conduction lines.

The invention describes a flexible lighting strip comprising a multitude of light-emitting diodes arranged in at least two groups. Each group comprises at least two light-emitting diodes arranged in an electrical series connection. The at least two groups are arranged in parallel to an anode track and a cathode track. The at least two groups are arranged in a longitudinal arrangement such that a last light-emitting diode of a first group is arranged next to a first light-emitting diode of a second group. The anode track and the cathode track each consist of a wire line having substantially circular wires that are bent to receive compressive and/or tensile stress. The electrical circuit provides a third wire line having a substantially circular wire as a center line arranged between the outer lines. At least one light-emitting diode of every group is mounted on an interposer which contracts all three wire lines.

A lighting device, a method of manufacturing a lighting device and a support are described. A support includes a layered structure of alternating conductors and insulating layers. The layered structure includes a mounting section and a body section adjacent the mounting section. The mounting section includes at least one mounting face that has an arrangement direction and at least three alternating contact sections along the arrangement direction. Each contact section is electrically coupled to one of the conductors and separated from a neighboring one of the contact sections by one of the insulating layers. The body section has a width that protrudes sidewards from the at least one mounting face and a length that extends substantially parallel to the arrangement direction.

A lighting arrangement includes a plurality of light sources in spaced arrangement. Collimator elements are arranged in front of the light sources. A holder with a plurality of spaced openings is provided to hold the collimator elements within the openings in such a way that the openings are arranged to contact the collimator elements from at least two opposed sides, In order to allow exact positioning and easy manufacturing, the holder comprises at least a first portion and a second portion such that at least some of the openings are formed between the first and the second portions.

A method for producing a flexible lighting strip comprising multitude of functional elements, which are light-emitting diodes, comprise light-emitting diodes, or are interposers with light-emitting diodes. The functional elements are in at least two groups, each comprising at least two functional elements in electrical series connection. The groups are in an electrical circuit having at least an anode and a cathode track as outer lines. The functional elements are in an electrical parallel connection to the anode and cathode tracks. The groups are in a longitudinal arrangement so a first group's last functional element is next to a second group's first functional element. Each of the outer lines has a wire line having substantially circular wires that are bent building zones capable of receiving compressive and tensile stress. The electrical circuit provides a third wire line having a substantially circular wire as a center line arranged between the outer lines.

The invention relates to an optical device and to a headlighting assembly including an optical device. An optical device includes a body of a transparent material arranged to receive light at at least one light input portion. At least a portion of the light is reflected at an outer surface of the body due to total internal reflection. A non-transparent housing is provided to at least partially cover the body. The body is held within the housing by protrusions arranged to abut against the outer surface.

Arrangement of a TIR body

A method for applying at least one electronic component to a surface is described. The method includes placing a component stencil on a support. At least one electronic component is arranged in a corresponding opening of the component stencil with a top surface of the electronic component on the support. A contact material stencil is positioned on the component stencil such that at least one opening in the contact material stencil is over a corresponding contact region on the bottom surface of the at least one electronic component. A contact material is applied on the at least one contact region of the at least one electronic component within the corresponding opening of the contact material stencil. The contact material stencil is removed from the component stencil. The component stencil is removed from the support. The at least one electronic component is applied to the surface.

Method for applying electronic components

The invention relates to a non-automotive-headlight lamp () comprising a lighting element () and a transparent bulb (), which is at least partly equipped with an interference coating () for e.g. changing the color or color temperature of the lamp (), and to a lighting unit () comprising such a lamp () being mounted in a reflector (). But the invention is also related to lighting units () where the interference coating () is not applied to the lamp () but to the reflector (). In these lamps () or lighting units () light components () not appropriately filtered by the interference coating () lead to undesired wavelengths in the illumination beam and/or to a compromised color uniformity of the beam. Such light components () may stem from missing or insufficient filters on part of the lamp (), from non-normal incidence of the rays () on the filter (), and, in reflectors () with interference coating (), from direct light () not hitting the reflector (). The invention adds a blocking device () to the lamp () or lighting unit () to substantially prevent these light components () to enter the illumination beam. Whereas constructively similar blocking devices () are known from automotive headlight lamps for preventing glare their benefits in the context of interference coatings () were overlooked in the prior art.
