The invention relates to a disc brake comprising a brake caliper (), which engages over a brake disc that can rotate on an axis (A) and brake linings () arranged on both sides thereof in a lining groove (), comprising a hold-down arrangement () formed by a rigid hold-down piece () and a leaf spring () and leading transversely over the brake linings (), wherein the hold-down piece () has a central section () forming the majority of its total length and leading over the lining groove (), and two end sections (), wherein the hold-down piece is supported against the brake linings () towards the disc brake axis (A), and wherein said hold-down piece extends at least partially into a slot () of the brake caliper () with the first end section () thereof, and wherein the leaf spring () extends in the longitudinal direction of the hold-down piece () and is spring-elastically supported against the outer side of the hold-down piece () facing away from the brake linings (). In order to more simply configure the fixing of the elements of the hold-down arrangement in terms of assembly and production, without thereby weakening the fixture, the first end section () of the hold-down piece () is angled in relation to the central section ().

A disc brake has a brake disc and brake pads each having a pad back plate and mounted on opposite sides of the brake disc. A brake caliper engages over brake disc and brake pads. A pad hold-down device secures the brake pads and bears against pad back plates of the brake pads transversely to the brake pads. A flat spring bears against a side of the pad hold-down device facing away from the brake pads. The flat spring extends in longitudinal direction of the pad hold-down device. First and second spring abutments support first and second spring ends of the flat spring. The first spring abutment has a fastener extending transversely to pad hold-down device and to flat spring. The first spring abutment has a clip connected to the brake caliper by the fastener. The first spring end bears against an inner side of the clip facing the fastener.

A disk brake for a utility-vehicle wheel includes a brake caliper reaching around a brake disk, an application device arranged in the brake caliper on one side of the brake disk actuated by means of a force member, brake pads on both sides of the brake disk. At least the application-side brake pad is arranged in a pad duct having first and second supporting surfaces which have the same distance from a pad duct center line in the circumferential direction, and against which the brake pad lies, a brake lever which is part of the application device and is composed of a lever arm supporting the force member, and an application shaft connected to the lever arm and mounted inside the brake caliper on a pivot axis and resting in a rotationally movable manner against a pressure piece working against the application-side brake pad.
