A system and method for controlling a powertrain, comprising an internal combustion engine connected to a double clutch transmission having a first and a second partial transmission with at least one shiftable transmission stage. A first friction clutch is arranged between the internal combustion engine and the first partial transmission, and a second friction clutch is arranged between the internal combustion engine and the second partial transmission. An engine torque of the internal combustion engine is transmitted by the first and second friction clutches to the first or second partial transmissions to provide a drivetrain torque at the output of the double clutch transmission. The powertrain is monitored for an occurrence of juddering oscillations, wherein in response to juddering oscillations being detected a regeneration process of one of the first and second friction clutches is triggered, and a friction lining is removed in the regeneration process.

Method for controlling a powertrain

The invention relates to a method for adjusting a friction coefficient of an automated clutch, wherein a current friction coefficient (RK) is determined by a comparison with a moment of the internal combustion engine during a slipping phase of the clutch. In a method, in which the adaptation over the entire operation of the motor vehicle is possible, the current friction coefficient (RK) is pilot-controlled to a long-term friction coefficient (RL) in a non-slipping phase of the clutch and/or in the event of a torque signal that cannot be monitored.

So as to be able to continue operating a friction clutch which may have a previously damaged friction lining, at a first clutch torque transferred via the first friction lining, depending on a friction coefficient and a current temperature of a second friction lining of the second friction clutch, the second friction clutch is engaged at a gear ratio selected in the second sub-transmission and the friction lining is heated to a specified temperature.

Method for controlling a drive train having a double-clutch transmission

In a motor vehicle, a friction clutch is disposed between a drive unit and a transmission. The value of the contact point of the clutch is adapted at predetermined points in time. A method for controlling the friction clutch includes the steps of determining a value of the contact point of the friction clutch, this value having been modified as a result of an adaptation thereof, and of continuously reducing the value of the contact point at a predetermined ramp rate, without letting this value drop below a predefined contact point reduction value.

Method for controlling a friction clutch

A method for operating a clutch includes operating the clutch with increased slip during a green phase and operating the clutch with normal slip during a post-green phase. In some example embodiments, increased slip consists of slip speeds greater than 40 revolutions per minute. In an example embodiment, increased slip consists of a slip speed of approximately 50 revolutions per minute.
