Process for preparing granules of water-insoluble solids, characterized in that a non-thixotropic press or filter cake of the solid is comminuted by cutting and the product obtained is dried while in rolling motion in a dryer for pourable solids.

Fluctuations in concentration of the starting materials during continuous diazotization are taken into account by passing a component stream from the receiver to the diazotization vessel through an analyser where, for a short residence time, the nitrite content is determined by an electrochemical measuring technique. A required nitrite excess is adjusted in the receiver on the basis of this measurement. By virtue of the pH-value, however, a diazotization reaction still does not take place in the receiver.

The invention relates to valuable new reactive dyestuffs of the general formula ##SPC1## In which A stands for hydrogen, a methyl, phenyl, lower carbalkoxy, optionally substituted carboxamide or a carboxy group; B denotes a carboxy, lower carbalkoxy, optionally substituted carboxamide or nitrile group; Z means a hydroxy or amino group; R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 stand for identical or different radicals such as hydrogen or methyl; D denotes the radical of a diazo component containing a reactive group; and n means the number 0 or 1; which are suitable for the dyeing and printing of materials containing hydroxyl or amide groups and for dyeing natural or regenerated cellulose fast to washing.
