A method is provided for producing double labels (). Two large labels () of different size, each of the labels being detachably applied to respective carriers () by their adhesive surfaces (), are respectively detached from their carriers (), and are adhered together by their facing adhesive surfaces (). The dispenser () has parallel dispensing edges (). The double label () has a fixed element, which can be written or printed on, and a free, flexible element () for fixing the double label () to an object to be labeled or to another carrier strip.
