A prosthesis includes a tubular graft, a prosthetic valve component, an inflow stent, an outflow stent, and a plurality of body stents disposed between the inflow and outflow stents. Each stent is a sinusoidal patterned radially-expandable ring having a first set of crowns and a second set of crowns, with the first set of crowns disposed closer to an inflow end of the tubular graft than the second set of crowns. The prosthesis is configured to be resistant to backfolding and/or buckling during deployment thereof.

A delivery system for a prosthetic valve device includes a first shaft including an outflow capture device mounted on a distal end thereof, a second shaft slidingly disposed over the first shaft and including an inflow capture device mounted on a distal end thereof, and a retractable sheath slidingly disposed over the second shaft to hold the prosthetic valve device in a radially compressed configuration for delivery to a body lumen. The inflow capture device is configured for releasable engagement through openings in a plurality of first attachment members on the device. The outflow capture device is configured for releasable engagement through openings in a plurality of second attachment members on the device.

Delivery system for prosthetic valve device having controlled release of inflow and outflow ends

An integrated valve prosthesis includes an anchor stent, a tether component, and a valve component. The anchor stent includes a self-expanding tubular frame member configured to be deployed in the annulus of an aortic valve or the aorta. The valve component includes a valve frame and a prosthetic valve coupled to the valve frame, and is configured to be deployed within the anchor stent. The tether component includes a first end coupled to the anchor stent and a second end coupled to the valve frame. In the delivery configuration, the tether component extends in a first direction from the anchor stent to the valve component, and in the deployed configuration, the tether component extends in a second direction from the anchor stent to the valve component. The second direction is generally opposite the first direction. The tether component may set the location of the valve component relative to the anchor stent.

Integrated valve assembly and method of delivering and deploying an integrated valve assembly

Methods of transcatheter delivery of a prosthetic heart valve. A distal region of a guide member assembly is advanced into a heart of a patient. The distal region is docked to native anatomy of the heart. A delivery device, including a collapsed prosthetic heart valve, is advanced over the docked guide member assembly. The collapsed prosthetic heart valve is located at an implantation site. The prosthetic heart valve is deployed from the delivery device, and then the delivery device is removed from the patient. At least a portion of the guide member assembly is removed from the patient. In some embodiments, the docking structure is docked to one or more of native mitral valve leaflets, chordae in the left ventricle, or walls of the left ventricle as part of a transseptal mitral valve delivery procedure.

Prosthetic heart valve delivery systems and methods

Aspects of the disclosure include sizing catheters and methods for determining the size and other physical parameters of an internal orifice or lumen. Embodiments include a sizing catheter assembly having a handle assembly and a catheter assembly including at least one catheter extending from the handle assembly. The catheter assembly also includes at least two sizers, which can be adjustably spaced from each other. Each of the sizers are configured to conform to respective portions of a lumen of a patient's anatomy. The sizing catheter is configured such that the sizers are configured to specify or determine first and second dimensions of the lumen and also distance between the sizers. The sizers can include valve leaflets or the sizing catheter can include a temporary valve. Additional aspects include software/methods of assessing and determining an appropriate implantable device that can include assessing the biomechanical interaction between the device and the anatomy.

Sizing catheters, methods of sizing complex anatomies and methods of selecting a prosthesis for implantation

A tool for compressing a stented prosthesis. The tool includes first and second sets of rollers. The first set includes a plurality of rollers arranged to define a first working region having a first working diameter. The second set includes a plurality of rollers arranged to define a second working region having a second working diameter. The sets of rollers are arranged such that the working regions are axially aligned. The first working diameter is greater than the second working diameter. A stented prosthesis traversing the first working region and then the second working region is forced to a compressed state. In some embodiments, the tool includes one or more intermediate sets of rollers between the first and second sets of rollers, with each of the intermediate sets of rollers defining a working region having a working diameter. The respective working diameters progressively decrease in a downstream direction.

Method for compressing a stented prosthesis

An intestinal implant includes a proximal anchor self-expandable from a radially compressed position to a radially expandable position for engagement with a wall of the intestinal lumen and a flexible sleeve coupled to the anchor. The sleeve is implanted with the anchor downstream from the pylorus and the sleeve extending further downstream through the intestinal lumen.

A medical device loading system can comprise a first housing, a second housing, and a plate. The first housing comprises a first open end, a first tapered inner surface, and a second open end. The second housing comprises a third open end, a second tapered inner surface, and a fourth open end. The second housing can define a slot between the second tapered surface and the third open end. The plate can be configured to be slidably received within the slot. The loading system can further comprise a first elongated member and a second elongated member.

Systems and methods for loading a valve prosthesis onto a catheter

An intravascular electrode system includes an expandable anchor and a flexible substrate which carries at least one electrode. The anchor is positioned in a blood vessel and expanded to an expanded position to bias the electrode in contact with the vessel wall. The flexible substrate may be longitudinally withdrawn from its position between the anchor and the vessel wall without removing the anchor from the blood vessel. A second flexible substrate may be longitudinally inserted into position between the anchor and vessel wall as replacement for the first substrate.

Intravascular electrode system and method

An intravascular electrode device for use in neuromodulation includes an anchor expandable from a radially compressed position to a radially expanded position. A lead extends from the anchor and has at least one conductor extending through it. A flex circuit is coupled to the anchor and comprises a flexible insulative substrate, a plurality of electrodes carried by the substrate, and a plurality of conductive traces carried by the substrate, each trace electrically coupled to an electrode and a conductor. Expansion of the anchor within a blood vessel biases the electrodes into contact with the surrounding blood vessel wall. An exemplary anchor includes a first portion having expansion forces sufficient to bias the electrodes against the vessel wall for mapping and chronic stimulation, and a second portion having greater radial expansion forces sufficient to chronically engage the vessel wall once an optimal electrode location has been selected.

Intravascular electrodes and anchoring devices for transvascular stimulation

A system for performing multi-tool minimally invasive medical procedures through a single instrument port into a body cavity includes a rigid tube carried by a mount. Cannulas having instrument channels and steerable distal ends extend distally from the rigid tube. During a procedure using the system, the mount is supported by an operating room fixture, and instruments are advanced through the steerable instrument channels. Manipulation of the instrument handles engages actuators positioned on the mount, which steer the distal ends of the cannulas through the action of pull cables. The distal ends of the instruments may thus be steered within the body by the distal ends of the steerable cannulas.

System and method for multi-instrument surgical access

A system for performing multi-tool minimally invasive medical procedures through a single instrument port into a body cavity includes an expandable frame that carries a pair of tool cannulas, each of which has a lumen for receiving a tool useable to perform a procedure in the body cavity. The frame is expandable to orient the tool cannulas such that they allow the tools to be used in concert to carry out a procedure at a common location in the body cavity.

System and method for multi-instrument surgical access using a single access port

A transvascular electrode system includes an expandable electrode-carrying anchor. The anchor is intravascularly advanced in a compressed position to a first site in a blood vessel. A first portion of the anchor expands to position an electrode against the vessel wall, while a second portion remains is compressed. Mapping is performed by delivering stimulation energy from the electrode and measuring the response (e.g. blood pressure, heart rate, and/or related parameters). The first portion is at least partially collapsed and the electrode system is moved to a second site. The first portion is expanded to position the electrode into against the vessel wall, while the second portion remains compressed. Additional mapping is performed. The process is repeated until the anchor electrode position is optimized, at which point the second portion of the anchor is expanded to chronically retain the electrode in the vessel.
