A sign assembly includes a sign panel, a base including an upper surface and a lower surface, a first longitudinal side and a second longitudinal side, the first longitudinal side including a midpoint disposed between first and second outer points, and the second longitudinal side including a midpoint disposed between first and second outer points, and first and second longitudinal sides, and a platform disposed on the base for attaching the sign panel to the base, wherein a distance between the midpoint of the first longitudinal side and the midpoint of the second longitudinal side is less than a distance between the first outer points of the first and second longitudinal sides, and the distance between the midpoint of the first longitudinal side and the midpoint of the second longitudinal side is less than a distance between the second outer points of the first and second longitudinal sides.

Sign base and sign assembly

A sign frame assembly having journally connected frames and appearing as an inverted 'V' when deployed on a surface. Each frame has legs connected by a panel, and upper and lower crossbars which are parallel to each other and connect the legs. A receptacle defined by a plane including the panel and which is parallel to and separated from a plane formed by surfaces of the legs, and the upper and lower cross bars is provided to hold a flat object which may be used as a sign. The flat object may be inserted and removed without the use of tools or fasteners.

Portable sign frame assembly with changeable signage

An improved A-frame sign stand is disclosed. The sign stand includes front and rear panels hingedly attached. A support rod is removably attachable to the panels and prevents both separation and buckling of the panels. The support rod can be placed into various storage positions. In one such position, the rod may be used as a handle. In another embodiment, the rod can be pivoted upward and stored on an inner surface of the panel.

A plastic barricade assembly and a method of constructing it. The assembly includes two leg and panel units pivotally interconnected. Each leg and panel unit comprises first and second leg members and a plurality of panel members. The members are separately blow molded of plastic. The first leg members of each leg and panel unit are identical to each other and, at the same time, different than the second leg members of each leg and panel unit which are, in turn, identical to each other. Each leg and panel unit is assembled by bolting a first and second leg member together with a plurality of panel members. The leg and panel members of each unit are bolted together in interlocking relationship.

Plastic barricade assembly

A plastic barricade assembly including two leg and panel units pivotally interconnected. Each leg and panel unit comprises first and second leg members and a plurality of panel members, the members being separately blow molded. The first leg members of each leg and panel unit are identical to each other and, at the same time, different than the second leg members of each leg and panel unit which are, in turn, identical to each other. Each leg and panel unit is assembled by bolting a first and second leg member together with a plurality of panel members. The leg and panel members of each unit are bolted together in interlocking relationship.

A combination mounting flange and handle for attaching a flasher light unit to a plastic traffic barricade is disclosed herein. A handle is integrally molded to each of the barricade panels to allow for convenient dismantling and transportation of the barricade. A flange is molded onto each handle so that a flasher light unit may be affixed to a handle using a fastening bolt. The position of the mounted flasher light unit near the cross-bars of the barricade prevents the unit from being knocked out of placement by common road or construction disturbances. The shape and position of the handle allows for simplified usage and easier access to the fastening bolt by the user.

Traffic barricade and flasher light assembly with combination flasher

A mounting assembly includes a bracket, flasher light unit, and barricade. The bracket has a slot for attachment to the barricade and a round aperture for attachment to the flasher light unit. When attached to the barricade, the bracket and flasher may be rotated out of position to facilitate maintenance and rotated back into proper position for use. To prevent the accidental misaligning of the flasher during use, small protrusions on the barricade hold the bracket and flasher firmly in a proper vertical position.

Flasher light mounting assembly for traffic barricades

A plastic traffic barricade comprises two integrally molded, generally planar panel units each having two upstanding legs interconnected by a panel member and each having a hinge projection mating with a hinge projection on the other panel unit and a hinge pin extending thru the mated hinge projections and a handle member extending between the mated pair of hinge projections.

Plastic traffic barricade

An improved barricade is composed of two identical, hollow, molded plastic panel units which are bolted together at top hinges. Novel detents lock the barricade in an open position for use. This mechanism allows for folding and storage by pushing the legs together with a substantial force. The panel units incorporate reinforcing ribs on the legs that taper off at their top and cooperate with opposing leg members and a specially shaped hinge section to allow for flat, compact storage. Horizontal panels are flush to the surface of the panel unit for optimum strength and space utilization. Bottom portions of the hollow panel units are filled with sand as a ballast to increase stability. A special mounting bracket is attached next to one of the hinges to support attachments such as flashers.

Barricade

The hollow plastic barricade comprises a pair of identical, integral, hollow, hinged-together barricade frame members, each frame member having first and second hinge sections located at respective upper corners thereof. The first hinge section on one frame member cooperates with the second hinge section on the other frame member to form two hinges between the frame members. Each frame member comprises two hollow, spaced apart side frame portions with a leg at the bottom of each side portion, an upper hollow panel, a middle hollow panel and a lower hollow sandbag bar, all extending between the side frame portions. The middle panel is spaced beneath the upper panel and the hollow sandbag bar is spaced beneath the middle panel and is spaced above the bottom of the legs a distance which will permit the barricade to be placed over uneven terrain and still be supported by the legs. At least one of the panels is adapted to receive indicia thereon. The first and second hinge sections each include at least one arcuately extending hook-like projection with a bore extending transversely through the sides thereof and with an end surface adapted to engage and bear against a top edge of the other frame member. Each frame member has an opening for placing particulate ballast material, such as sand, in the frame member, and the barricade further comprises two pins each of which is received through a pair of adjacent projections extending from respective ones of the frame members.
