The present invention relates to belts useful in the manufacture of paper products, such as tissue paper. Particularly this invention relates to a belt used in a through-air drying process for making tissue products, and more particularly to an additively manufactured belt having a particular pattern thereon which imparts properties to tissue products manufactured therewith.

Three-dimensional papermaking belt

Disclosed is a two layered belt useful in the manufacture of tissue products comprising a first woven layer and a second nonwoven layer joined together in a laminated arrangement. The woven layer typically forms the machine contacting layer of the belt and is woven from a highly abrasion resistant material, while the nonwoven layer contacts the nascent tissue web. The woven layer may be provided with valleys and ridges that the nascent web is molded into, while the nonwoven layer may be provided with elements that impart a visually aesthetic pattern to the web. In this manner the belt may be useful in the production of products having desirable physical properties resulting from molding into the woven fabric while also being visually pleasing to the user.

Laminated papermaking belt

The present invention relates to papermaking belts useful in the manufacture of paper products, such as tissue paper. Particularly this invention relates to a papermaking belt used in a through-air drying process for making tissue products, and more particularly to a belt having a particular pattern thereon which imparts properties to tissue products manufactured therewith. In some embodiments, the belt can be seamless. The belt can include a first web contacting area defining a first plane and a second web contacting area defining a second plane. The second plane can be above the first plane. The first web contacting area and the second web contacting area comprise a plurality of channels that extend from the web contacting side to the machine contacting side of the seamless papermaking belt.

The invention provides a multi-ply tissue product having different surface characteristics on each side of the product. The multi-ply tissue product may be formed from two or more plies where one surface is formed by a substantially smooth creped ply and the other surface is formed by a textured through-air dried ply. In this manner the tissue product may be used for both personal care, which requires a soft and smooth surface, and general household wiping, which requires a rough, durable surface.

A tissue product having improved hand feel and good wettability is produced by printing onto one or both sides of the tissue an aqueous emulsion containing a hydrophilically-modified amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane. The hydrophilically-modified amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane structure has one or more pendant groups containing an ethylene oxide moiety and/or propylene oxide moiety.

Soft absorbent tissue treated with a chemical composition

A tissue product having improved hand feel and good wettability is produced by printing onto one or both sides of the tissue an aqueous emulsion containing a derivitized amino-functional polysiloxane. The derivitized amino-functional polysiloxane structure has one or more pendant groups containing an amine derivative.

A tissue product having improved hand feel and good wettability is produced by printing onto one or both sides of the tissue an aqueous emusilion containing a hydrophilically-modified amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane. The hydrophilically-modified amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane structure has one or more pendant groups containing a terminal amine functionality and at least one pendant group containing an ethylene oxide moiety.
