At the time of an end of an image forming job (YES of S), a controller causes a blade and a developing roller to be separated from a photosensitive drum (S). At that time, the controller controls separation timing of the belt and the developing roller so that the developing roller is separated from the photosensitive drum before a surface position of the photosensitive drum contacted to the developing roller at a contact position at the time of a start of separation of the blade from the photosensitive drum reaches a developing position with the separation of the blade. According to this, even when a liquid accumulation reaches the developing position depending on the separation of the blade, the developing roller has already been separated from the photosensitive drum before the liquid accumulation reaches the developing position and therefore, the liquid accumulation is not collected by the developing roller. When the liquid accumulation is not collected by the developing roller, color mixture due to the liquid accumulation does not occur.

Image forming apparatus

A cleaning blade for a photosensitive member carrying a liquid developer includes a free end surface provided at one end portion in a height direction of the blade, the free end surface being provided with an edge portion at one end portion of the free end surface with respect to the thickness direction. The edge portion has curved portions and a linear portion therebetween. As seen in the thickness direction, the curved portion includes an arcuate shape portion and is connected with the linear portion such that the linear portion is tangential of the arcuate shape; a height of the blade increases toward the end portion of the blade; a maximum angle formed between the curved portion and the linear portion is not less than 5 degrees; and the curved portion includes a portion having radius of curvature not less than 240 mm and not more than 320 mm.

Cleaning blade, cleaning device and image forming apparatus

An X-ray shield grating includes a substrate on which a plurality of recessed portions are arranged, and metal that is arranged in each of the recessed portions. The substrate includes a bent region that is bent in an arrangement direction in which the plurality of recessed portions are arranged. A radius of curvature of the bent region is 200 millimeters or less. In the bent region, a maximum value of a width of a region sandwiched between two adjacent recessed portions of the plurality of recessed portions and a width of the substrate in an end portion of the bent region are less than or equal to three times a minimum value of the width of the region sandwiched between the two adjacent recessed portions.

X-ray shield grating and X-ray talbot interferometer including X-ray shield grating

An X-ray imaging apparatus includes: an X-ray source including an electron source and a target, the target having a plurality of projections, each having an emitting surface; a diffraction grating configured to diffract X rays emitted from the X-ray source; and a detector configured to detect the X rays diffracted by the diffraction grating. Electron beams output from the electron source are incident on the emitting surfaces so that X rays are emitted from the emitting surfaces and are output to the diffraction grating. The X rays emitted from the emitting surfaces are diffracted by the diffraction grating so as to form a plurality of interference patterns. The projections are arranged such that bright portions of the interference patterns overlap each other and such that dark portions thereof overlap each other. Distances from the emitting surfaces to the diffraction grating are equal to each other.

X-ray source, X-ray imaging apparatus, and X-ray computed tomography imaging system

An X-ray phase grating used for X-ray phase-contrast imaging based on Talbot interference includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate and the second substrate are combined so as to be shifted from each other by one half period. The first substrate has a first pattern in which first faces and second faces making an angle of &#x3b1; (where &#x3b1;&#x2260;0 and &#x3b1;&#x2260;90&#xb0;) with the first faces are periodically arranged. The second substrate has a second pattern in which third faces corresponding to the first faces and fourth faces corresponding to the second faces and making an angle of &#x3b1; with the third faces are periodically arranged.

X-ray phase grating and method for producing the same

A source grating for a Talbot-Lau-type interferometer includes a plurality of channels having incident apertures provided on a side irradiated with X-rays and exit apertures provided on an opposite side of the side irradiated with the X-rays; the exit apertures of the channels have an aperture area smaller than an aperture area of the incident apertures; and the exit apertures of the channels are arranged so that interference fringes of Talbot self-images formed by X-rays exiting from the exit apertures of the adjacent channels are aligned with each other.

An X-ray generating device includes an electron-beam generator, a target assembly group, and an electron-beam focusing unit. The electron-beam generator generates electron beams. The target assembly group includes a plurality of target assemblies that are arranged along a straight line in a direction in which X-rays are output; each of the target assemblies includes a target and a supporting member; the target generates X-rays from one of the electron beams generated by the electron-beam generator; and the supporting member supports the target by being disposed adjacent thereto. The electron-beam focusing unit focuses the electron beams onto the targets included in the target assembly group so that X-rays are generated in each of the target assemblies and output along the straight line after passing through the target assemblies.
