A data and phase locking buffer design in a two-way handshake system is provided and may comprise sequentially locking pipelining of data in a synchronized pipeline and draining the synchronized pipeline of the data. The data may be synchronously accepted at a substantially similar time by contiguous pipeline stages that have data to be accepted. A ready signal, which may be processed after being generated by a present pipeline stage of the synchronized pipeline, may be communicated to a subsequent pipeline stage of the synchronized pipeline. An accept signal may be communicated from a present pipeline stage to a previous pipeline stage. A drain signal may be generated for draining the data from the synchronized pipeline. The drain signal may be asserted and deasserted based on end of line information in the data.

Described herein is a method and system for video format conversion. Aspects of the current invention may convert decoded video data from 4:2:2 format to 4:4:4 format. Aspects of the current invention may also convert decoded video data from 4:2:0 format to 4:4:4 format. Aspects of the current invention may further convert decoded video data from 4:2:0 format to 4:2:2 format. Aspects of the current invention may provide a region-aware conversion system that monitors the edges of mosaic windows in order to apply proper boundary conditions during the conversion process.

Method and system for video format conversion

A method and system for configurable drain for two-way handshake system is provided and may comprise coupling a transmitting device to a drain bucket, and draining unwanted data at the transmitting device. The drain bucket may be configurably coupled to the transmitting device via a switch, where the switch may be a crossbar switch. The drain bucket may receive at least one transmitter handshake signal from at least one transmitting device. The drain bucket may transmit at least one receiver handshake signal to the at least one transmitting device. The receiver handshake signal may be asserted at least as long as the received transmitter handshake signal is asserted. The receiver handshake signal may be based on the received transmitter handshake signal. For example, the received transmitter handshake signal may be looped back by the receiver as the receiver handshake signal. The method may also comprise generating the receiver handshake signal utilizing at least one of combinational logic and sequential logic.

Method and system for configurable drain mechanism in two-way handshake system

Various aspects of the low cost line buffer system allow a reduction in circuitry versus conventional approaches to line buffer design. A plurality of line buffers such that the output of one line buffer in the plurality of line buffers may be coupled to an input of a succeeding line buffer in the plurality of line buffers. A first line buffer in the plurality of line buffers may be coupled to an input write data signal, while the width of a subsequent plurality of line buffers may be less than or equal to the width of the previous line buffers in the plurality of line buffers.
