A liquid ejection head includes an element substrate including an energy-generating element that applies ejection energy to liquid, a first electric wiring board electrically connected to the element substrate, and a second electric wiring board on which an integrated circuit element is mounted and which is electrically connected to the first electric wiring board. An electric signal is supplied to the integrated circuit element mounted on the second electric wiring board through the first electric wiring board, processed by the integrated circuit element, and supplied to the energy-generating element through the second electric wiring board and the first electric wiring board.

Liquid ejection head

A liquid ejecting head including a print element substrate including an ejection opening for ejecting a liquid, a wiring member including wiring electrically connected to the print element substrate, a connection electrically connecting the print element substrate to the wiring member, a support member supporting the wiring member, a sealing material sealing the connection, and a cover member provided on the support member. In the liquid ejecting head, the wiring member is a strip-shaped member, and a portion of the wiring member provided on a surface of the support member that supports the wiring member is covered by the sealing material and the cover member.

Liquid ejecting head

An element substrate has ejection ports for ejecting liquid, pressure chambers for storing the liquid to be ejected from the ejection ports, liquid supply paths for supplying liquid to the pressure chambers, and liquid recovery paths for recovering liquid from the pressure chambers. Filter chambers have respective filters for capturing foreign objects contained in liquid. Liquid is forced to flow upwardly from below relative to the filters.

Liquid ejection head and recording apparatus

A page-wide liquid ejection head configured to be removably installed in a main body of a liquid ejection apparatus includes a connection part for liquid through which a liquid is supplied from the main body and an electrical connector through which an electric signal is supplied from the main body. A page-wide type liquid ejection head includes a plurality of recording element substrates, each having an ejection port array including a plurality of ejection ports, each ejection port communicating with a pressure chamber including therein a recording element, and a liquid supply path for supplying a liquid to the pressure chamber. The liquid ejection head also includes a flow path member mounting the recording element substrates arranged thereon. The flow path member includes common supply flow paths and individual supply flow paths that connect the liquid supply path to the common supply flow paths, and the individual supply flow paths include portions running obliquely to the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the liquid ejection head.

There is provided a liquid ejecting device including a damper device which can sufficiently absorb dynamic pressure of a liquid while miniaturization of a device body is achieved and which can be easily manufactured. For that purpose, a part of an ink storage unit in the damper device is formed by a flexible member having a convex shape.

A method for manufacturing the liquid ejection head includes: arranging a pair of mold pieces, of which width decreases gradually, to adjoin in the width direction thereof with the width decreasing in the opposite directions, molding a housing, and forming the pair of liquid chambers by drawing the pair of mold pieces from the molded housing in the direction in which the width increases.

In a liquid ejection head and a liquid ejection apparatus that can suppress deterioration of image quality, a plurality of second beam-shaped members is provided on the downstream side of a first beam-shaped member in a flow passage connected to an ejection element substrate. The first beam-shaped member divides the flow passage into two flow passages in a liquid-flowing direction and the second beam-shaped members sandwich a line extending from the first beam-shaped member in the liquid-flowing direction.

Recording head

An inkjet recording apparatus capable of determining an amount of bubbles in an ink flow path and performing suction recovery operation at an appropriate timing is provided. The inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head including a nozzle for discharging ink and a flow path forming member forming an ink flow path for supplying the ink to the nozzle, a suction unit configured to suck the ink from the recording head, and a temperature detection unit configured to detect a temperature in the recording head. The inkjet recording apparatus includes a control unit configured, based on an amount of gas in the flow path forming member before the ink is filled in the ink flow path, and an amount of gas in equilibrium in the flow path forming member after the ink is filled in the ink flow path, to control the operation of the suction unit.

A liquid ejection head includes a head body configured to eject liquid, a holding portion rotatable with respect to the head body about a rotation shaft provided on the head body and configured to support the head body, and a rotation regulation portion configured to regulate the rotation of the holding portion with respect to the head body beyond an arrangement in which the holding portion, the rotation shaft, and a center of gravity of the head body aligned in a line in a direction of gravity with the head body held by the holding portion.

While the print head is reduced in size, the adverse effect of air flows produced by ink droplets as they are ejected from a small number of ejection opening arrays is minimized. A small number of first ejection opening arrays eject one of three primary colors&#x2014;cyan, magenta and yellow&#x2014;and a large number of second and third ejection opening arrays eject the remaining two primary colors. A fourth ejection opening array is disposed between the first ejection opening array and the second or third ejection opening array.
