Disclosed are alloy nano-particles having a fluctuation coefficient of particle size of 20% or less and a fluctuation coefficient of composition of 20% or less. The alloy nano-particles have a low transformation point and hardly aggregate and which can form a flat magnetic film having high coercive force.

The invention provides a black and white photothermographic material including, on at least one surface of a support, at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, wherein 50% or more of the total projected area of the photosensitive silver halide grains is occupied by tabular grains having an aspect ratio of 2 or more, and at least one apex portion of each tabular grain has an epitaxial junction. An image forming method is also provided, the method including bringing the photothermographic material into close contact with a fluorescent intensifying screen containing a fluorescent substance, wherein 50% or more of emission light of the fluorescent substance has a wavelength of 350 nm to 420 nm, and applying X-ray exposure. The black and white photothermographic material has high sensitivity and is superior in image storability and raw stock storability.

A silver halide photographic emulsion, wherein at least 70% of the total projected area of silver halide grains contained therein is occupied by silver bromochloroiodide hexagonal epitaxial tabular grains each having (111) faces as main planes and an epitaxial protrusion portion, wherein the epitaxial protrusion portion exists on at least one apex portion of the hexagon, and, when an average silver chloride content of the epitaxial protrusion portions of all the grains having the epitaxial protrusion portion is expressed as CL mol %, a silver chloride content of each epitaxial protrusion portion of each grain falls within the range of 0.7 CL to 1.3 CL.

A novel process is provided for processing a silver halide color photographic material with a color developing solution containing at least one aromatic primary amine color developing agent, wherein said silver halide color photographic material contains at least one of anti-bacterial agents represented by the general formulas (I), (II), (III), (IV) and (V) and that the processing is effected while said color developing solution is supplied in an amount of 20 to 120 ml per 1 m.sup.2 of said silver halide color photographic material.

There is disclosed a method for processing a silver halide color photographic material with a color developer containing at least one aromatic primary amine color-developing agent. In the method a silver halide color photographic material having at least one of the layers of which comprises a silver halide emulsion of high chloride containing 80 mol % or over of silver chloride, and containing at least one coupler having relative coupling rate of 0.05 or over in each color-sensitive layer is processed, after exposure to light, with a color developer containing a specified amount of chloride ions and bromide ions.

Method for processing silver halide color photographic material

A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide red-sensitive emulsion layer containing at least one cyan coupler represented by formula (I) or (II) ##STR1## wherein Za represents ##STR2## Zb represents ##STR3## Zc represents ##STR4## Y represents a hydrogen atom or a blocking group; X represents a hydrogen atom or a group which releases upon a reaction with an oxidation product or an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; R.sub.11 represents a group which is substantially not released upon reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; R.sub.12 represents a hydrogen atom or a substitutent; or R.sub.11, or R.sub.12 or X may form a dimer, oligomer or polymer. Silver halide color photographic material

A method for forming an image comprises processing a silver halide color photosensitive material comprising a nondiffusible coupler and a nondiffusible color developing agent on a support with a color developer containing a diffusible color developing agent comprising an aromatic primary amine. By this method, it is possible to reduce the processing time required when a color developer containing an ordinary aromatic primary amine as the color developing agent is used and also to provide a stable image forming method having only a slight processing dependence.

A process for processing a silver halide color photographic material is disclosed which comprises processing a silver halide color photographic material containing at least one compound represented by formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group; A represents a group forming a chemical bond by reaction with an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; n represents 0 or 1; X represents a group released on reaction with an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; B represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, a heterocyclic group, an acyl group, or a sulfonyl group; and Y represents a group accelerating the addition of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent to the compound of formula (II), and said R.sub.1 and X or said Y and R.sub.2 or B may combine with each other to form a ring, with a color developer prepared by diluting a concentrated color developer composition containing from 90 ml/liter to 600 ml/liter of benzyl alcohol and from 0.07 mol/liter to 0.5 mol/liter of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent.
