An armrest assembly for a vehicle door can include a panel and a cover panel. The panel can include an upper exterior surface, a pull pocket extending from and recessed below the upper exterior surface, a first engagement aperture in the pull pocket, a second engagement aperture in the pull pocket, and a switch spaced away from the pull pocket. The cover panel can include an exterior touch surface for an occupant to pull on the vehicle door. The cover panel can be in the pull pocket and expose the upper exterior surface of the panel. The cover panel can include a snap element engaging with the first engagement aperture, the snap element attached to the interior surface of the cover panel, and an attachment element engaging with the second engagement aperture, the attachment element attached to the interior surface of the cover panel.

Armrest assembly for a vehicle door and door assembly and vehicle including same

Some embodiments are directed to a weatherstrip and garnish assembly for use with a vehicle door that includes a body flange. The weatherstrip and garnish assembly can include a weatherstrip assembly that has a weatherstrip configured to be secured to the body flange of the vehicle door. The weatherstrip can include a curved portion. A sunshade garnish can be spaced from the curved portion of the weatherstrip to define a gap therebetween. A weatherstrip garnish can be disposed between the sunshade garnish and the weatherstrip so as to cover the gap. A first connector can connect the sunshade garnish to the weatherstrip garnish. A second connector can connect the weatherstrip garnish to the weatherstrip assembly.

Vehicle door assembly, and methods of use and manufacture thereof

Some embodiments are directed to a door lining assembly for use with a vehicle having a vehicle interior, a vehicle door, and weather-stripping configured to facilitate sealing of the door in a closed position. The door lining assembly can include a front portion connected to a lower section of the vehicle door. The front portion can include a flange that is connected to the weather-stripping. The door lining assembly can also include an elongated transition portion that extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction and is attached to the front portion and the lower section of the vehicle door. The transition portion can be structured to have a gradually varying depth in a lateral direction of the vehicle, such that one end of the transition portion that is connected to the front portion extends further into the vehicle interior than the opposite longitudinal end.

Vehicle door lining assembly, and methods of use and manufacture thereof

Some embodiments are directed to a hook assembly for use with a vehicle having a vehicle interior, a vehicle door having a window bordered by a lining, and a sunshade assembly configured to cover the window, the sunshade assembly having a support member by which the sunshade assembly can be secured to the lining to cover the window. The hook assembly can include a grommet configured to be connected to the lining. The hook assembly can also include a hook member configured to be disposed adjacent and attached to the grommet such that the grommet is disposed between the hook member and the lining, the hook member including a hook extending therefrom, the hook being configured to engage the support member to secure the sunshade assembly to the lining to cover the window.

Window shade hook assembly, and methods of use and manufacture thereof

Some embodiments are directed to a door lining assembly for use with a vehicle that defines a vehicle exterior and a vehicle passenger compartment. The door lining assembly can include a base assembly including an outboard base that defines a substantially planar upper surface that extends obliquely relative to a transverse direction of the vehicle so as to face upwardly toward the vehicle exterior. The base assembly can also include an inboard base that defines a substantially planar upper surface that extends obliquely relative to the upper surface of the outboard base downward toward the vehicle passenger compartment. The outboard and inboard bases can be joined together to form a peak that is the vertically highest portion of the base assembly. A unitary topcoat can cover the upper surfaces of the outboard and inboard bases.

Vehicle door assemblies, and methods of use and manufacture thereof

A sunshade hook includes a generally j-shaped hook member having a first leg portion and a second leg portion connected thereto along a bight region. A base has a substantially planar first portion that extends substantially perpendicular to the first leg portion of the hook member, and a second portion that extends generally parallel relation to the base first portion. A snap tab selectively deflects as the base is advanced over a bracket for mounting the one-piece hook in an associated automotive vehicle.

Sunshade hook

A sunshade assembly wherein the sunshade is secured in a deployed position at a single location, and wherein when the sunshade is retracted, the field of view through the window is unobstructed by securing members or the like. More particularly, the sunshade assembly utilizes a recessed hook or hook retainer within a trim panel adjacent the window as an anchor point, while a handgrip secured to the window shade is configured to pivot into a position to permit a hook or hook retainer associated therewith to be inserted into the recessed anchor point.

Sunshade assembly for a vehicle

A rear pillar garnish assembly to cover an air bag in a rear pillar for an automotive vehicle is provided and includes a base attached to the rear pillar, a flexible cover attached to a front portion of the base, a stiffener attached to the flexible lid and to the rear pillar, a speaker assembly, and a rear cover. When the air bag deploys the force of the air bag dislodges the flexible cover from the front portion of the base to allow the air bag to expand into a passenger compartment of the automotive vehicle. The flexible lid, however, remains attached to the stiffener thereby preventing the flexible lid from becoming airborne into the passenger compartment of the automotive vehicle.
