The disclosed biopotential measurement device may include a biopotential measurement circuit and a right leg drive ('RLD') circuit coupled to the biopotential measurement circuit. The device may also include electrodes coupled to the biopotential measurement circuit and a chassis housing the biopotential measurement circuit and the RLD circuit. The chassis may include a conductive portion, coupled to the RLD circuit, that may serve as an RLD electrode for the RLD circuit. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Right leg drive through conductive chassis

An electronic device supplies power to system load(s) from a first battery power source and a second battery power source connected in series across a re-configurable device section boundary. A battery monitor monitors voltage across each individual battery cell within the first and second battery power sources. The battery monitor directs a charge circuit as to how and when to charge the first and second battery power sources using an external power source. The battery monitor also directs the charge circuit as to how and when to use the first and second battery power sources to power the system load(s).

Series battery discharge management across a device section boundary

An apparatus may include a power rail, a subassembly, an additional subassembly, and an interface coupling the subassembly to the additional subassembly. The subassembly may include a load, an energy-storing component, a charger having an output coupled to the energy-storing component, and a reverse-current limiter having a first terminal coupled to the energy-storing component. The additional subassembly may include an additional energy-storing component, an additional charger having an output coupled to the additional energy-storing component, and an additional reverse-current limiter having a first terminal coupled to the additional energy-storing component. The power rail may cross the interface and may couple the load, an input of the charger, a second terminal of the reverse-current limiter, an input of the additional charger, and a second terminal of the additional reverse-current limiter. Apparatus, systems, and methods for distributed charging and discharging

The described technology provides a method of balancing power supplied to a system load by a first battery power source and a second battery power source. The method includes sensing a first current supplied by or supplied to the first battery source. The method further includes changing a control voltage for a voltage converter circuit based on the sensed first current, an input of the voltage converter circuit being coupled to the second battery power source, an output of the voltage converter circuit being electrically coupled to the system load. The method still further includes adjusting the voltage converter circuit to modify a charge current supplied from the second battery power source to the first battery power source based on the control voltage.

Parallel battery charge management

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include determining, by at least one physical processor of a haptic device, driving signal data. The haptic device comprises a first haptic actuator exhibiting a first frequency response characteristic, and a second haptic actuator exhibiting a second frequency response characteristic different from the first frequency response characteristic. The processor may also generate first and second driving signals by applying first and second pre-processing functions to the driving signal data, respectively. The second pre-processing function is different from the first pre-processing function and the second driving signal is different from the first driving signal. Systems and methods for haptic equalization

The disclosed biopotential measurement device may include a front end comprising a biopotential measurement sensor and a back end comprising a processor programmed to process biopotential signals detected by the biopotential measurement sensor. The biopotential measurement device may also include an isolation circuit that, during at least a sampling phase of the biopotential measurement sensor, electrically isolates the front end from the back end. Floating biopotential samplings

An electronic device balances power supplied to a system load by a first battery power source and a second battery power source. A battery current sense circuit is electrically coupled to sense a first current supplied by the first battery power source to the system load. A discharge feedback controller is electrically coupled to the battery current sense circuit and configured to adjust a control voltage based on the sensed first current. A voltage converter circuit includes an input electrically coupled to the second battery power source and an output electrically coupled to the system load. The voltage converter circuit is configured to adjust current supplied by the second battery power source through the voltage converter circuit to the system load based on the control voltage.

Parallel battery discharge management

An electronic device adjusts power supplied to a first battery power source by a second battery power source. A battery current sense circuit senses a charge current supplied to the first battery power source. Operation of a tracking circuit depends on the charge current. A charge feedback controller generates a control voltage based on an output voltage at a first battery port of the first battery power source. A voltage converter circuit includes an input port electrically coupled to the second battery power source and an output port electrically coupled to the tracking circuit and the first battery power source. The voltage converter circuit adjusts the charge current supplied by the second battery power source through the voltage converter circuit to the first power source based on the control voltage.

An asynchronous state machine (ASM) for managing deep sleep state of a device and related methods are described. One method includes the ASM automatically detecting a request to wake up the device based on either a change in a status of a power user-interface element associated with the device or upon a detection of an attachment of an external power source to the device. The method further includes the ASM automatically initiating a wake-up sequence including turning on a battery pack associated with the device. The method further includes the ASM automatically detecting whether a power management function associated with the device is enabled and automatically transferring control of a remaining portion of the wake-up sequence to the power management function and the ASM passing the status of the power user-interface element to the power management function as needed.

Asynchronous state machine for managing deep sleep state

Power management contracts for accessory devices are described. In one or more implementations, a power management contract is established for a system including a host computing device and an accessory device based at least in part upon power exchange conditions observed for the system. The power management contracts define operating constraints for power exchange between components of the system, including at least a power exchange direction and current limits. The host computing device and accessory devices are each configured to renegotiate the power management contract to dynamically change operating constraints in 'real-time.' Additionally, different power management contracts may be associated with identifying data corresponding to different types of accessory devices.

Power management contracts for accessory devices

Accessory device power management techniques are described in which a power exchange state for a system including a host computing device, an accessory device, and an adapter is recognized. Power exchange states may be defined according to relative states of charge (RSOC) and connection status for the system components and mapped to power management control actions. Responsive to the recognition of a current power exchange state, corresponding power management control actions may be ascertained and applied to jointly manage power for the system. For instance, the host device may draw supplemental power from a power source associated with an accessory device (e.g., a battery or power adapter) or supply power for use by the accessory device according to different states. Power exchanges may also be managed in accordance with capabilities of the accessory device identified based on authentication of the accessory device.
