At least one imaging device is positioned in the healthcare facility to identify the line. A computer determines whether an unwanted condition of the line has occurred.

An example method includes capturing images using a camera and detecting a medical device in a first image among the images. A request is transmitted to the medical device. Based on transmitting the request, the example method includes determining that the medical device has output a chirp signal in a second image among the images. Based on the chirp signal, the method includes causing the medical device to perform an action by transmitting a control message to the medical device.

Image-based pairing and controlling of devices in a clinical environment

A system for capturing one or more eye images includes an eye imaging device having a camera configured to capture the eye images. The system determines a workflow for capturing the eye images using the eye imaging device. The workflow is determined based on a risk score for a given patient. The system performs the workflow on the eye imaging device to capture the eye images, conducts a microvascular assessment based on the captured eye images, and adjusts the risk score based on the microvascular assessment.

Systems and methods of monitoring medical therapies performed by wearable devices using electrical probes. In one example, a pulmonary physiotherapy device implements a treatment protocol function gated and modulated using electrical impedance sensors and metrics. The sensors operate to measure electrical impedance of bodily tissue. An electronic controller controls operation of the wearable device. The medical therapy can be modified based on the impedance measurements to maximize efficacy.

Enhanced image-based tracking in clinical environments

Monitoring patient vital signs is performed by analyzing videos recorded of a patient. An algorithm is used to compute the real-time patient vital signs based on video images of the patient. These images can be captured by a video monitoring device positioned over a patient's bed. The video monitoring device can include a thermal camera and a near infrared camera that continuously send video images to a processing unit. The thermal image is used to locate the patient's face and chest. The images are analyzed with an algorithm employed to determine a patient's heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and body position.

Video used to estimate vital signs

A sensor device includes a housing defining a cavity, an inlet to receive fluid pumped from an instrument device, an outlet to return the fluid to a fluid reservoir, and a fluid channel defined inside the cavity between the inlet and the outlet. A heat pump is mounted inside the cavity, and has a side surface thermally coupled to the fluid channel and an opposite side surface thermally coupled to a plate. The heat pump is configured to induce a temperature change. A sensor unit is aligned with an aperture in the plate and includes an optical component and a thermal component. The optical component configured to measure a vascular endothelial response from the induced temperature change.

Sepsis detection and monitoring

An example system for microvascular assessment of a patient can include: a fundus imaging device including: a camera configured to capture one or more images of an eye of the patient; and at least one light source; and a microvascular assessment computing device including: a processor; and memory encoding instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the system to: activate the light source to direct light at a fundus of the eye of the patient; capture, with the camera, one or more images of the fundus of the patient, the fundus comprising a plurality of blood vessels; and analyze with the microvascular assessment computing device, the one or more images to determine a microvasculature health index for the patient.

The received content is indexed and preserved on a preservation media for an indefinite or predetermined amount of time. The systems and methods described herein allow dictation and associated routing and formatting information to be forwarded to a transcription system. The transcription system converts the information into a document. The additional information associated with the dictation is then applied to the document to ensure proper formatting, routing, or the like. The completed document is returned to the original dictator for review and proofing. Upon approval, the document is distributed via the transcription system in accordance with distribution information associated with the document.
