A method for providing a resolution to an open issue is described. The method includes utilizing structured corresponding learning to determine pivots from a database having historical data records to determine data records having similar open issues and providing their resolution. The method further includes providing a recommended resolution for the open issue based on the historical data records.

A system and method for reducing service latency includes dividing an information technology service for a customer into an infrastructure management service and a data management service. Data associated with the information technology service is stored in a backup memory. A set of infrastructure images related to the information technology service is stored at a cloud service provider. The infrastructure images are updated with software updates and hardware updates, as needed, and the data associated with the information technology service is updated through backup and restore mechanisms. The set of infrastructure images that have been updated with data with latest updates are started for recovery, continuity, testing, etc.

A method, information processing system, and computer readable article of manufacture reinforce behavior in an individual. A behavior associated with an individual is monitored. A determination is made, based on the monitoring, that the behavior substantially matches a behavior in a set of behaviors. A set of interactive actions associated with the behavior are identified. A response from the individual is monitored in response to the least one of the interactive actions being performed. Methods, apparatus and computer program products decompose a service process into service process operations; filter the service operations based on at least one pre-determined criterion; identify at least one different service process operation to be used to replace an existing service process operation; and replace the existing service process operation with the at least one different service process operation. The service process can be decomposed using specific service features derived from reference service processes. The pre-determined criterion used to filter the service operations can constitute a service level; a service category; or a service process feature. A service process feature describes core functionality of the service.

Apparatus and methods for decomposing service processes and for identifying alternate service elements in service provider environments

Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to server provisioning in a heterogeneous computing environment and provide a method, system and computer program product for secure and verified distributed orchestration and provisioning. In one embodiment of the invention, a server provisioning method can be provided. The server provisioning method can include establishing grouping criteria, grouping different target computing nodes into different groups of target computing nodes according to the established grouping criteria, server provisioning a root node in each of the different groups of target computing nodes, and relying upon the root node in each of the different groups to peer-to-peer server provision remaining nodes in each of the different groups.

A plurality of pre-annotated reference documents and a set of annotation types associated with the pre-annotated reference documents are received. Annotation contexts of reference annotations in the plurality of pre-annotated reference documents are analyzed using the set of annotation types. Similar annotation contexts are identified between the reference annotations and the set of annotation types. Responsive to identifying the similar annotation contexts, the similar annotation contexts are clustered thereby forming a plurality of reference annotation clusters. A set of reference content heterogeneity scores are computed based on the number of reference annotation clusters for each annotation type in the set of annotation types. An integral reference content rate for the set of annotation types is then computed and output to a user.

Improved problem diagnosis techniques for use in accordance with computing systems, e.g., distributed computing systems, are disclosed. In one aspect of the invention, a technique for diagnosing a problem associated with a computing system comprises the following steps/operations. One or more probes are executed in accordance with at least a portion of a previously selected probe schedule. When a result of one or more of the probes of the previously selected probe schedule indicates, at least, a potential problem associated with the computing system, one or more probes which optimize at least one criterion are selected in real-time. The one or more selected probes are executed so as to diagnose the potential problem.

A method of securely storing data comprising the steps of: dividing the data into a plurality of secure components; encrypting the secure components; moving each secure component to a different location which is substantially inaccessible to an unauthorized request; storing the secure components at the different locations for a period of time; repeating the moving and storing steps; moving all of the secure components to a single location in response to an authorized request; decrypting each of the secure components; and assembling the plurality of secure components to reconstruct the original data.
