The present disclosure provides a vehicle seat including: a seat cushion frame that forms a frame of a seat cushion to support buttocks and thighs of a seated occupant; a center section spring that spans along a seat front-rear direction of the seat cushion frame at a center section in a seat width direction; and two end section springs, disposed at a same position in a seat up-down direction as the center section spring in a seat side view, that span along the seat front-rear direction of the seat cushion frame at two end sections in the seat width direction, and that are set with a higher spring constant than the center section spring.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat includes a frame member () of the seat, a cushion material () covering the frame member, a soft member () that is softer than the cushion material and secured to the frame member, and a weight () located in the soft member.

A headrest support structure includes: a support member configured to support a protruding member projecting from a headrest; a bracket provided in a seatback and having an accommodation chamber in which the support member is accommodated in a tiltable manner in a front-rear direction perpendicular to a width direction of the headrest; a spring provided in the accommodation chamber and deforming in a bending manner due to tilting of the support member relative to the bracket in the front-rear direction; and a projection portion projecting, in the front-rear direction, from one of an outer surface of the support member and an inner surface of the bracket which are opposed to each other. The projection portion is provided at a position different from the spring in a regulation direction perpendicular to both the front-rear direction and the width direction of the headrest.

Headrest support structure

A vehicle seat includes: a cushion that has a main portion that configures part of the seat cushion or the seat back and is placed in the seat width direction middle portion of the cushion and a pair of right and left side support portions that project toward the seat upper side or the seat front side relative to the main portion; and a cover that has side support portion cover portions and a main portion cover portion, with both seat width direction end portions of the main portion cover portion being joined to the side support portion cover portions, and with the seat width direction dimension of the main portion cover portion being longer than the seat width direction dimension of a surface on the seated occupant side of the main portion in a deformed state resulting from an occupant being seated.

A headrest supporting structure is provided with a lower spring and an upper spring, which are located at different positions in the vertical direction of a seat. The structure elastically supports a headrest stay with the springs. When a stopper section, which changes the position in the front-back direction in accordance with pivoting of the headrest, comes into contact with a support bracket, further pivoting of the headrest is restricted. The stiffness of the upper spring located relatively distant from the stopper section in the seat vertical direction is higher than that of the lower spring located closer to the stopper section.

Headrest supporting structure

A headrest support having a hollow cylindrical shape and into which a headrest stay is inserted, is inserted into a bracket that has a hollow cylindrical shape and is fixed to a seat back frame. A protrusion, a tip end of which is a pivot center of the headrest support, formed such that a protrusion amount thereof increases in response to insertion of the headrest stay, is provided on an outer peripheral surface of this headrest support.

A vehicle seatincludes: a seatback frame forming framework of a seatback that supports the back of a seated occupant; and a seatback pad that is attached to the seatback frame, and that includes a pair of left and right side support sections respectively disposed at both seat width direction end portions of the seatback pad, a main section disposed between the pair of left and right side support sections, and soft angled sections that are provided to seat front side end portions on both seat width direction end portions of the main section and are softer than a seat width direction intermediate portion of the main section, and that are angled such that seat front side faces of the soft angled sections are disposed further toward the seat front side on progression toward the seat width direction outer side.

A vehicle seat equipped with a side airbag apparatus and method thereof that even if a pad side face portion and pad rear face portion of a seatback pad are disposed at a vehicle width direction outer side and vehicle rearward side of a side frame at a side opposing a vehicle body side portion, improve assembly operations. The webbing sewn into a loop shape along a cover cleaving portion, and the airbag module is inserted into the webbing. An opening portion formed between front face and side face portions of a side pad portion of the seatback pad, and the airbag module and webbing are inserted through the opening portion. The side face and rear face portions connecting to one another by a reduced thickness portion. Accordingly, the rear face portion may turn about the reduced thickness portion and a nut may fasten from the vehicle rearward side.
