A headlight unit includes a reflector that is concave in shape and has left and right reflection surfaces for reflecting light emitted by a headlight bulb in a desired direction. Protection covers cover outer edge sections of the reflector and have a color different from that of the left and right reflection surfaces.

Headlight unit and straddle-type vehicle

A straddle-type vehicle has a decorative member that a user can repeatedly use and that is utilized for a purpose other than design. The decorative member covers a fastening part of an exterior cover of the vehicle and has a lid with a decorated exterior surface. A base is attached to the exterior cover to support the lid. The lid is attached to the exterior cover via the base, and removal of the lid from the exterior cover is restricted by assembly of the base in the exterior cover.

Straddle type vehicle

The light unit includes a lamp body and a lens having engagement members. The engagement members engage directly with the body of a vehicle (for example, a motorcycle). The engagement members preferably engage with a vehicle body exterior component such as a side cover. By engaging directly with the body, the alignment accuracy between the light unit and the side cover is improved.

The light unit includes a lens, shadow-forming surface, and a shadow casting surface. Outside light entering the light unit is at least partially blocked by the shadow casting surface so as to cast a shadow on the shadow-forming surface. The shadow casting surface may be embedded within or on a surface of the lens or otherwise supported above the shadow forming surface. The shadow casting design is preferably spaced from the shadow-forming surface.

A vehicle with a cover member of a simple structure includes a flexible cover body section arranged to cover at least a portion of an on-the-vehicle part. The cover member includes bendable elongated sections extending outward from the edge portions of the cover body section. The vehicle also includes a leg shield for covering a driver's leg in front thereof and an on-the-vehicle part disposed inside the leg shield. The on-the-vehicle part is disposed along the inside surface of the leg shield, and the outside surface of the on-the-vehicle part opposite from the leg shield side is covered by the cover member.

Vehicle

A vehicle is capable of simplifying attaching a connection member and an atmospheric discharge member to a reservoir tank of a vehicle body. The vehicle is arranged such that it includes a connection member for connecting a heat exchanger for cooling an engine and a reservoir tank for storing liquid therein. An atmospheric discharge member attached to the reservoir tank and having an atmospheric discharge opening is located in the vicinity of the connection member.

An air cleaner is prevented from sucking mud etc., while a relatively large space is ensured in front of a seat, in an under bone type straddle type vehicle which has an area recessed downward in front of the seat. An air cleaner is disposed in the rear of a cylinder block of an engine. The air cleaner includes a cleaner case that is taller than it is broad and a lid that covers a top of the cleaner case. An intake pipe is positioned at a rear side of the lid. The intake pipe is disposed within a space surrounded by the seat and a forward descending portion of a seat front cover, and opens obliquely upward rearward. A labyrinth structure is formed above the intake pipe for preventing drops of water from entering the intake pipe from the seat.

Air cleaner for straddle vehicle

A saddle-ride type vehicle is provided capable of making a mount construction of a lamp unit simple and lessening a possibility that a projection provided on a vehicle body cover is damaged. The saddle-ride type vehicle includes a vehicle body cover that covers a vehicle body of the saddle-ride type vehicle from outside the saddle-ride type vehicle. A protrusive projection is mounted to the vehicle body. A grommet having a cylinder holds the projection. A frame including a frame side mount is provided with a frame side mount hole. A rear lamp unit including a rear lamp side mount is provided with a rear lamp side mount hole. The grommet is inserted into the frame side mount hole and the rear lamp side mount hole. The cylinder is opened in a direction, in which the grommet is inserted into the frame side mount hole and the rear lamp side mount hole, and the projection is inserted into the cylinder.

Saddle-ride type vehicle

A straddle-ride type vehicle (e.g., a scooter) comprises a vehicle cover assembly that includes at least a cover that partially covers the vehicle's body and a rear side cover that covers the cover from the outside of the vehicle body. The cover including a projection at an end thereof that extends toward the rear side cover. This construction of the cover assembly eases the manufacture of the covers and eases the assembly thereof so as to present a high quality of outward appearance without strictly controlling the manufacturing tolerances of the covers.

A vehicle is capable of maintaining a cooling capacity of a heat exchanger constant. The vehicle includes ahead pipe, a main frame connected to the head pipe so as to extend rearwardly and downwardly, an engine arranged below the main frame and including a cylinder having a cylinder shaft, which is inclined forwardly and obliquely upward at a predetermined angle, leg shields that cover the front of legs of a driver of the vehicle, a radiator arranged within the leg shields to cool the engine, and a reservoir tank arranged below a lower surface of the cylinder of the engine within the leg shields and connected to the radiator.
